I think ebay would have made him pay the return shipping, if he sent a KO and didn't know or make that clear in the listing.
I tried going through eBay and I got an email saying that the seller could not create a shipping label or something of that nature. I didn’t want to risk sending it and not getting reimbursed for shipping because figure was only $130ish. I just counted it as a loss and moved on. I ended up purchasing another MP Shockwave from a reliable retailer (Hobby Link Japan).
I was about to buy MP Shockwave from him at one point and I noticed 2 listings for that figure. One was priced at about $22 more than the other. I read the descriptions for both and couldn't determine what the cost increase on the other one was for. I asked him about it and he told me that the higher one came with a coin. $22 for a coin? No thanks. Maybe the higher priced one ($155) was the official one and the cheaper one ($133) was the ko. I don't know. I decided to skip it. I ended up getting a guaranteed official MP Shockwave from HLJ for $114 shipped a couple weeks back during their summer sale. If I really want a Shockwave coin I can easily find it on ebay for $10 shipped. I've never gotten around to buying official TT MP products from him. His better deals seem to be with 3P products. I've purchased 3P MP & Wei Jiang products from him with no issues.
mmc tends to produce fewer numbers (and sell out more) but im a little surprised he doesnt have commotus , anarchus or any version of sphinx...
I recently had an issue with him after multiple purchases. I bought a OS KO AOE Prime from him and he posted the tracking number that night. I was amazed. Then it didn't update for like 5 days. By not update I mean it didn't exist according to china-post. I messaged him and three days later I get a response from him. He said "Issue china-post flagged as dangerous sending back to me friend". So I waited another four or five days and messaged him again. He responded again three days later with another excuse. He said "Coming soon will ship back out when it's back". So this bull went on for about a month. I waited and waited and then he messaged me saying he was going to get a new tracking number and send the package. I got the figure two weeks later. Also as soon as mine shipped he dropped the price on the item I purchased by $40. What I'm assuming happened was he was expecting a shipment of these and it ran late. Rather than be honest or pull down the listing he sold them without making people aware. He played it off as if it was china-post's fault because how would I know. Then when he received them he was charged less for the order and lowered the price. I'm not sure about the last part but everything else seems to be a reasonable explanation.
You were smarter than me to not had order MP Shockwave from him. The reason I purchased from him at the time was that I had not had any issue with him before on my purchases for Wei Jiang products and also I didn’t know that they had a KO version of MP shockwave, had I known I would had stayed away from eBay. He also offered to exchange for the version that came with the coin, if I paid to ship it back and pay the difference. I didn’t take up on the offer because that also could had been a KO. I also jumped on the HLJ sale for MP Shockwave.
Ah Gotcha. I'm not sure if you tried to talk with ebay over the phone, but talking with them directly can sometimes get better results than email. I once had a similar issue as yours but on Amazon…a KO was sold under the official listing. The seller okayed the return but I was being charged for shipping. Long story short, I called amazon, and was eventually reimbursed for the $20+ dollars of return shipping.
There is a KO of shockwave. It is listed for sale on TF-Direct, I think he sells both the official and KO version.
I could be wrong but the way I understand the cheaper one going around are factory reject. Similar to the Hot Rod
So I started this thread and made a purchase again with him. As always it was a perfect transaction with fast shipping and great packing. If he sells KOs they have always been listed as a KO or listed as the KO company version. I agree that that Shockwave seems to be factory rejects, there hasn't been any mention of a KO in the KO thread has there?
Yep, They can put you on a block bidders list. I have at least over 100 on mine that I won't sell too..
I got the information from the thread below for the KO version of MP Shockwave. It’s not a definite answer but I am leaning towards KO because other retailers are selling KO versions of Shockwave. The item that I got from bababobo00712 matches the photo that was marked as KO in the thread. When I purchased it from him, there was no mention of it being factory rejects or KO. In the thread, people were just speculating that it could be factory rejects or it could be KO. Read that thread and make your own judgement. As for bababobo00712’s MP Shockwave, the difference in price was that one came with a coin and one did not. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discussion/1066435-ko-mp-29-shockwave.html
I purchased a KFC pure red Transistor from him last Friday (June 24th). He posted a tracking number a few days later and it shows up as "shipping info received" through ebay, but any of the china post tracking sites I've tried can't find any info using the number provided. Perhaps I'm being a bit impatient, but how long does it typically take for the info to show up in the system?
