Those instructions confused me, lets just say that i'm a little slow at following instructions off of the internet, and i need pictures to understand what you mean. Thanks, by. |

S. Bromen to the ressscuuue!
<a href=http://www.tfmaster.com/forum/index.php?c=17&sid=7c3afc879e09d1b85bb3515fc61caf3f>His forum on Transtopia</a>
EDIT: The first link is labeled "This is the section where you can find pictures on upcomming/WIP sets and learn sculpting tips as well as watch the development of some of these heads being created from start to finish."
Also, check dis out:
<a href=http://mywebpages.comcast.net/gionpeters/hhhh/resin.htm>More tutorials, with pics</a>
A bit larger-scale, but it still applies:
<a href=http://www.imperial-armor.com/molds101.html>Sci-fi prop making - even has a video!</a>
Another how-to process, although the end product is a bit corny:
<a href=http://www.io.com/~beckerdo/games/articles/MileFort/RomanMileFort.html>Roman forts in resin</a>
Hint: I googled these links by searching for "How to sculpt resin parts." The techniques for sculpting in resin carry over between toymaking and model-kit making, for the most part. The only difference is the type of resin you're using. FYI. EPISODE 4 IS UP! This time around, we discuss THE RISE OF THE SUPERSTAR CUSTOMIZER! |

What are some good methods for heating and bending styrene sheets into round shapes? Once you do, will the plastic retain its shape? Will heating it weaken the styrene?
Thanks!
The movie rocked, and you know it. |

Thanks! | Y'know what? I actually don't know the answer to this one. I would suggest either PMing TFmaster or going over to his site and asking. Sorry... EPISODE 4 IS UP! This time around, we discuss THE RISE OF THE SUPERSTAR CUSTOMIZER! |

To make the gaurd on my latest kitbash's sword, I heated the styrene up over a candle. It's real easy to melt the plastic doing that. It took me a couple of tries to get it right. You might also try using a hair dryer. A heat gun would probably work great, if you have one. Whatever method you use, the plastic will remain pliable untill it cools back down. |

At least, that's what I think. Other folks use regular Testors enamels in an airbrush, but I haven't had that much success with airbrushes so I stick with the FUsion. EPISODE 4 IS UP! This time around, we discuss THE RISE OF THE SUPERSTAR CUSTOMIZER! |
