So I know this is the most obvious repaint to do, but Beachcomber was one of my favorite characters as a kid (probably just because he was blue and a dune buggy).
I had considered taking off the armor, but if I did that, I would want to do a full mod to make him look more G1 by removing the roof and adding rollbars. I'll let someone more abitious take that over.
I had originally started painting his arms a light gray color, but then I saw Jin's repaint of Landmine and thought it looked much better than what I was planning. So I took the technique he used to make the limbs look metallic. I give credit to Jin for giving me the idea, I hope he doesn't mind.
Anyways, I really liked the way he turned out except for the head. I would rather it looked more G1, but I made due with what was there.
Also, as Jin has said, he is very poseable, and worth picking up just for that. |

Except for in that last pic, where he seems unusually merciless...

The other thing I wanted to do was paint him in a metal flake blue, like the fiberglass dunebuggies had. But I figured that wouldn't be appropiate for a military vehicle.
Thanks for the compliments everyone. |

If I may offer a suggestion, perhaps a little mud or rust near the tire wells to dirty him up a bit.
A different head maybe...not a fan of the Bionicle head this thing comes with, maybe something like High Score's:
edit: I don't know how big High Score's head would actually be on that body, so keep in mind that's just my best guess |
