I haven't painted anything yet, but the colors will include yellow, red, bule, grey, silver, and black. I do have a couple of questions, as I've come across a couple of snags that have prevented me from painting him yet. 1.) How do you take apart his backback? I can get the tw screws out, but, it won't come apart. and 2.) What specific kind of marker does it take to color clear red plastic to a clear blue color? Thanks to whomever can help me so I can get some more done on this bash. C&C are welcome, and thanks for looking. Quote:

-The backpack: It might be glued together inside. Letting the pack soak for a few hours - either in goo gone, or isoprophyl alcohol - might loosen the bonds of the factory-applied glue. After letting it soak, you could try prying it apart with a flat-head screw driver. Obviously, if you're giving what feels like too much pressure, stop! Don't break the part. THere might be another way to get it apart...and what that is, I dunno.
-The windows: You could probably PM Sami to get more info on how to tint them. However, remember that red + blue = purple, in most cases, so you may not end up getting a clear plastic blue like on, say, the Energon combiner parts. EPISODE 4 IS UP! This time around, we discuss THE RISE OF THE SUPERSTAR CUSTOMIZER! |
