Then you could shut the tailgate. | thanks for your ideas, but I'm DEFINITELY keeping it the way it is. it was such a relief to finish it that I don't even want to take it off my shelf anymore. the crane unit is sitting on the bed. all I did with the entire landmine unit is to cut off the bottom legs (I think) and slice out a 90 degree cut in the back so it fit over the tailgate. I like the way the wings look on the sides, as if they were meant to keep stuff in the bed.
