I'm all in for tiny MP toys if that's what this MP Smokescreen is. especially if it's legends scale.

A Hot Wheels-sized car that can transform into a detailed fully poseable MP style TF would be a miracle of modern engineering.

and that my friends is a kind of Transformer we need. We have the technology, we can rebuilt it. make it harder, better, faster, stronger.

    It's time.

I hear ya, Dan. At this point we don't have enough evidence that really points to one thing or the other. I've never been big into the WST figures, but mini MPs could be pretty interesting.

And you're right, Gauge. It would be quite an engineering feat if these are in fact part of the itty bitty Transformers committee. Hopefully we'll be given more pictures and/or information in the near future.

Well, if all the posts disappear, it's as if they never existed to begin with.

So one would assume the post count would most definitely be affected. ;)

Yeah, sorry folks :(  The entire thread was accidentally deleted, and the posts with it.

Hmm, interesting. I never really thought of Hybrid Convoy as a mini-MP, but I guess it is in a way. I guess if you are hurtin' for space, mini-MPs could be a good thing :D

Not really Owen. That thing was a huge floppy fiddly mess. though as craptastic as it was, it had a ton of molded details that I loved.

and you can hardly call it a Hot wheels-sized tf. it was about deluxe sized.

the size of the MP's I'm wanting to see are WST-sized. :D

if any company could do it, it's Takara. they are mad geniuses.

My browser history kicked me to a thread that doesn't exist.

It's a good thing that this thread is the only one that ever shows up as the active thread under Meetups on the Boards page.

SO ON TOPIC: I'm really bummed out that Leader Grimlock looks like a pile of terrible in hand.

I'm really glad that the Deluxe Dinobots look good in hand.

The more I see of the Leader Class Grimlock the more I'm inclined to buy the Voyager one. The Leader just looks horrible. Slap some chrome on it and it looks even worse.

Really? I didn't think he looked that bad, but then again I thought the Voyager looked ok too. I guess my expectations are in the shitter, but them dinobots are "goan git bought".

It's just when I look at the Leader Grimmy compared to the Voyager. I guess the Leader is leaving something to be desired for my tastes.

The other Dinobots though, yuuup, instant buys.

The Chrome just looks so tacky and unneccessary, I just don't see why he needed to look like he stopped in at West Coast Customs on his way here. Poor Choice Hasbro! Man I was really excited for Grimlock the way he looked before.

Hoping the Movie Advance Takara Black Knight Version is cool....

I guess I'm with Nick in thinking the chrome doesn't kill my interest in this one. However, I do feel his bot mode is a bit spindly for the 'king of the beasts' and leader of the Dinobot team and that his alt mode has a strange 'stretched' effect going on with his torso. Otherwise the chrome does not kill any aspect of my desire to own this guy.

At his expected price point though he'll probably be one of the last I buy from this line.

I really think chrome is one of those things where it's supposed to be a "collector focus" thing. I think it only works on certain figures if it's done right. Henkei Universe figures are a good example of what I think was right about chrome.

    Leader Grimlock ... ehhhh.

If you remember way back when we first started talking about TF4 figures, I wasn't extremely excited for these yet (and now there is no documentation, lol).....and this is why.

I like the dinobots, I do. Especially the deluxe dinobots. I will admit to some mild disappointment with Grimlock, in general. The chrome doesn't bother me as much as the colors. I think at least one iterartion of Grimlock should be the gun metal grey/black that he will be in the movie. I imagine we may or may not get such a repaint, but I don't get the gold and black (and chrome).

Hasbro's use of chrome is probably positively (or negatively, depending on how you look at it) reinforced by past sales on chromed figures. They may acvtually sell very well, but who really knows :2c:

I absolutely think chrome sells well. Like you said, I think that's why Hasbro is doing it. The problem for me though, it feels like they're doing chrome for the sake of doing chrome.
