I had a good time at the show. I got a Slagacon customization class kit from Frenzyrumble that I'm looking forward to putting together and it was cool meeting Buster Jones (I got him to sign my g1 Blaster box).

Anybody attend his panel? I was unable to make it and I'm curious as to what he said.

I just came for a couple of hours in the morning. It was a fun little show. I got a Browning KO from Megamus that turned out to be the "Lucky Draw" white version. That was nice. Traded it to my buddy for his real version as I'd rather have that and then he can turn it around for some cash. Got a bunch of loose GIJoes for my son for Christmas, got a few cheap TFs from Pete (complete BW basics for $2? Nice!). Was going to buy the amazingly priced $90 BW Ravage X9, but when I went to go to the ATM, I didn't have enough left in my account! And I have a no credit card policy. Hopefully it went to someone else.

Also got a mail-order carded GIJoe Doc figure signed by Buster Jones and a Carly picture signed by Arlene Banas. Both of them were really nice. Mr. Jones talks so quietly, I felt bad asking him to repeat the same thing three times. I just don't hear well with all the other talking in the room. We left around noon as it wasn't a terribly large room or anything, but it was a fun morning.

So for $200 total, I got into the show, got a Browning, a signed Doc, a signed piece of art, and a bunch of stuff for my son. Not a bad day at all!

Had a super fun time as I always do at these shows. Sold some stuff, completed my TF Animated collection thanks to TF Marketplace, and got some good trades from some of the other dealers and fans. I had lots of great chats with the fans, their families and the guests. Everyone who stopped by was so friendly, which fed into the laid-back atmosphere of the whole 'con. Thanks to all who stopped by my table and here's to hoping next year's will be bigger and better!

It was great meeting some of you all and getting to see some of you all again. It was very exciting winning the custom Harbinger. Thanks to Megamus and his crew for doing the parts party. I hope this con will return for its 5th anniversary.

Great time as always! I sold enough things to cover the few things I bought and the hotel room, so I'm content. The customizing figure looks just AWESOME, so thanks a lot to Mike. Can't wait to put some finishing touches on it and post it later.

I did, it was a very interesting panel, heh. At times he rambled and I think he mixed up a couple of his stories a few times, but you can tell he's lived a very interesting life. He talked a little about the live script reading at BotCon the other year, about touring with a band (and their likelihood of getting jailed for being drunk or high), his time DJ'ing, doing some VA work, etc.

TFMarketplace will definitely be back next year for the show. Each year it's grown bigger and better and I'm always looking forward to it.

Glad we could help you complete your collection!

I had lots of fun! Picked up a few TFs that I had been looking for, and made some new friends, and got to see a few I only get to see at cons.

Such a shame. I went to year 2 and year 3. Would have went to year 4 if I didn't blow my budget on Charticon this year.

Sorry to hear that the show will not continue. It was a fun weekend, and I'm glad I was able to be a part of the last four years. I picked up some great stuff this year, too.

^ This. I am truly saddened by this news. I know Chad really did the best he could. There were some good times had by many at these shows of his.

That's terrible. I thought next year could've been really great. Slagacon was poised to be the only Transformers convention in the region the entire year. Charticon is taking next year off, Savcon is technically southeastern U.S., Dairycon and TFcon are way up north, and Botcon is in Pasadena. What are we spoiled midwestern fans to do?!

While not a big surprise, it still hurts and it still sucks.

Thanks so much Chad for putting everything you had (and then some) into the show. We all know it was a labor of love from your side, and appreciate the good times you were able to help us have.

    That's sad news.

So Chad is now gonna tell is all who's responsible, right? And post his/her info here so we all know who to blame. Right?

    Thank you!

Now - why isn't THAT GUY in court? Do we know?

Side note - does anyone know what the Statute of Limitations for FRAUD is in the states involved???

"A statute of limitation is a the maximum time allotted after a crime that legal proceedings can be started. After the statute of limitations is up, there can be no legal ramifications for the crime. Each state has a limit on fraud and there is also a federal statue of limitations on fraud cases."

Why point fingers and blame people. When a con does not work, it is the promoter who is to blame. I did not make the right decisions. I feel bad for the fans. I did this for them. Once people are paid back, I will evaluate where I stand and make decisions about another show then. To all the fans that wanted more years, I am truly sorry.
