Yeah, Silas. How am I supposed to finish my cosplay for TFCon if you don't give me another episode to get the last details just right?

If Prime is on at the bar, I'm creating a drinking game around all the cliches that happen every episode.

^ based off the website, Friday the 26th @ 6:30pm the ep will be "Minus One", then 2 hours of Young Justice.

Assuming the bar will have TeleToon to begin with.

My plans changed and I'll be arriving Saturday afternoon. Would anyone be able to pick up the Mech Idea Exclusives for me and I can pay as soon as I get there?

I'm rethinking going now, I've been offered a free drive there since we only live a few hours away, and I'd be able to spend all day saturday there. I wouldn't have a lot of money on me, maybe $100, but then I'm mostly just interested in Prime toys as of right now.

Still worth going for just Saturday and a limited amount of cash?

Oh and will I have to arrive early to get tickets? If I get there for opening at 10am I don't want all the tickets to be sold out or something.

Thanks to anyone who can answer these, I understand it could get annoying answering questions from a total noob.

Yes. Even though I'm a dealer, you don't have to buy anything from the dealer room to have a great time. Bring a camera, those pics you take will be priceless souvenirs.

You can arrive early to buy your tickets, but you may have to line up till the doors open.

    If you're on a budget...
Early admission tickets for Saturday (9 am entry) will be $30.
Regular admission tickets for Saturday (10 am entry) will be $20.

Only you can decide if that extra 1 hour is going to be worth it. I used to only do the regular admission also.

If you have things from home you want signed, since autographs are free, you can get many. The only rule is 2 items per line up. So after you get 2 things signed, you have to go to the back of the line to get 2 more, etc.

As far as I know, there are no limits on walk-in tickets. So you have nothing to fear in terms of running out. Only the advance pre-reg was limited.

In terms of your budget, you may want to factor in food and drinks. Unless you're bringing everything from home. I heard the hotel restaurant food is great, but if it's too pricy for you, there's a Burger King, Wendy's, McD's, Dollarama, No Frills, Boaster Juice, etc 10-20 walk away.

Great. I am quite interested in the dealers, my mum who's driving me said she'll give me some money to spend. I am mostly interested in Prime stuff but other things aren't out of the question if I like em (I haven't seen a lot of the G1 show admittedly and the con seems to be pretty G1 focused).

Since we're driving there, getting up really early may be annoying for some of us so it's a relief that walk-in tickets will be available a bit later on in the morning.

I can't think of anything I own that would be suitable for signing so perhaps I'll just bring an autograph book.

Good to know there's a few places to eat. We'll probably pay for that outside of the TF budget.

    Thanks very much for answering!

(I'll probably have to watch more G1 so I can fully appreciate the con before I go...heh.)

TFCon used to be more G1 focused. But with so many cartoons series under the franchise's belt, there's going to be a lot of variety, you'll also see this in the dealer room...both Hasbro releases and Japanese releases. As for your interest in Prime, if you distill every show down to it's basic elements, they're all G1 inspired anyways.

There'll be plenty of artists who will be selling prints. I'm not sure the prices on most of them, but 1 of them for sure will have 8x10 prints for $7 each or 2 for $10.

As for the hotel restaurant, they have a special TFCon menu. Not sure exactly what's on it, but I heard there were special combos. I brought my own food last year, but I look forward to trying it this year.

Yes, G1 does share most basic elements with all the shows. xD

Most of it is hopefully indoor, so I don't roast in the heat out there. Also hoping the place it's held in is like one big room but I digress. I'll enjoy it anyway. Unless anything comes up it looks like I'll be attending my first convention. Took long enough.

    Stomp-ons even? :D

I'll be there as Mic Sounders the Human. :D

But my buddy Stickman can't make it even though we'd planned it for months because his DICKHEAD EMPLOYER is making him work all weekend for free for the third or fourth time in a row.

    Nothing major is happening now.

-some people are heading to TFCon
-some are in the Customizing Class
-some are relaxing in their hotel room (like me)

But who's really got the time to post, when you're having fun?
    :p
