Art & Costume Contest!

Retro Con will be having both an art and costume contest, ran by a talented fan I've known for years. Raksha..She's been involved in the Transformers fan community since the early nineties and for those that hadn't known, Raksha was the one to organize Botcon 1995. So for those fans with talent, lets see it and win some prizes! [Contact me for more information!]

A Before Party Saturday Night!

For those arriving the night before.. I've been looking into renting a space at Arnold's Family Fun Center. But only if there's enough interest. The place is set up next to the convention center, with food, arcade games, lazer tag and more! It would be the perfect place to hang out!

Retro Con Pre-registrant Door Prize!

We are having a special raffle drawing that will be held ONLY for pre-registrants of the show! The prize will be a Transformers yarn doll created by show organizer Tony. The character will be Autobot engineer Wheeljack. He stands 16″ tall and is created from craft yarn woven into a plastic canvas skeleton (with everything hot-glued together). These are very time-consuming to make, so Tony does not create them often. Now is your chance to own a truly unique Transformers item!!

The drawing will be held early in the day, probably around 10 or 11am, and any losing tickets from pre-registrant drawing will go back into the raffle pool for the regular door prizes! Go to the “Buy Tickets” tab at the top of the retrocons.com page to pre-register. Good luck!!

Tony and I sold five more tables for Retro Con yesterday! With over 70 percent of our tables sold and if all goes well... After promoting at Baltimore Comic Con and then New York Comic Con..maybe we should look into getting a few more tables? Fill that convention center up!

As of right now we have 55 tables sold, with only twenty left.. Not bad with two months still to go before the Convention!

This weekend I promoted the show big time, handing out over 150 plus cards during Baltimore Comic
Con and I plan to do more during New York comic Con!
