    Basically the same as before:

This thread is for organizing and discussing meeting up in 2012 (please don't bump the old thread).

The link to our social group can be found here, if you haven't done so already:NC@TFW (North Carolina @ Transformers World 2005) - TFW2005 - The 2005 Boards

The following format is merely a guide on how the meet-ups have generally gone in the past. Things don't certainly have to stay the same format, and the group tends to be open to doing different stuff as well.

    * lunch around noon or so
    * Toy hunt at local Walmart(s) and Target(s)
    * Toy hunt at local shops that carry vintage TFs
    * Swap meet in parking lot

Feel free to post any ideas, thoughts, whatever you feel like discussing about hanging out in North Carolina!

Where will the next one be? Discuss away!

This is a few months early BUT...

If anyone in the RDU area is planning on going to Botcon, let me know if we can make it a road trip! Myself and the gf are driving all the way to Dallas, so if you're down to make the trip cheaper for yourself, let me know. Car has room for two more (theoretically).

I may go too. Do they accept debit cards besides cash at the ticket window?

No idea, but with anything at the fairgrounds, I'd assume you need cash just on the side of caution. Of course, there's a cashpoints near Dorton Arena if absolutely necessary.

So, now i have no idea WHEN they will take out $104 for MOTUC stuff. sigh. unless I can sell some stuff. anyone want any of my stuff, and i can bring it and that would be like free shipping?

They take cash, and I think they do debit cards with a small machine. Better to just have four bucks on hand (theres a coupon). So far, barring any pregnant pauses, I'm going as well.

I'll be there pretty much when it opens. Dormamu and I talked about grabbing breakfast somewhere like McDs or something again.

What are these toy shows like? I've never been to one. Are there good deals to be had? Would my kids (11) like it, or only if they get to buy stuff?

The website doesn't seem to list anything about 2012 shows.

I honestly think your kids would like it. You can find some good deals. However, just don't go expecting something like NCBotcon or anything. There are some TFs there, but there's a lot more of other the toylines and even antique toys there.

Well then, it looks like they just recently updated the schedule. When I clicked on that link early this morning, it was showing the 2011 one.
