CP and Scotty, meeting up this Saturday is very tempting! Where would you guys like to meet for breakfast? If there is a McDonald's you have in mind, that would be cool. Big Breakfast FTW!

Breakfast might be hard for me, but I could probably make it out to lunch. Then again it's a Saturday so I guess I could set my clock really early (then again I can't garuntee I'll feel like crawling out of bed at 7  )

I think he had a Shockwave last time I went.

 

He had one I was very tempted by last time I was there, but that was all the way back in September. Though I'm sure if he doesn't have that there's plenty of other G1 stuff in his case that I'll drool over.

 

Next Saturday say 8:30? Last week, Dormamu and I met at the Glennwood Ave. McDonald's. It may be a bit small to seat a crowd, but I think we'd be good. If not, another suggestion for location?

I'm worn out this week. I'm hoping I can sleep all day tomorrow. Hopefully, I can go to the Rembrandt exhibit this weekend.

 

Maybe in February. I have an all-day event I have to attend for work next Saturday.

Breakfast I can do. Evening meal (dinner or whatever) I can do. Lunch is completely out for me. If you guys still want to do the 8:30-9ish breakfast thing I can. If you'd prefer to wait and have a meal in the evening (6pmish), I can do that. If you guys wanna have lunch (noonish), by all means go for it - I just can't make it (sleepy time!).

 

I wish I could, I have to be at work at 6:30 Saturday ...ugh.

 

Ok, so ScottyP and I are meeting at 8:30ish at the McDonald's at Glenwood Ave. Whoever wants to join us is more than welcome to. We've discussed going to the Fairgrounds afterwards to check out Larry's shop this week.

Yup, ScottyP and I hung out the earlier part of the day. I even got to see his collection. Totally cool  

I won't steal Scotty's thunder, so I'll let him tell you all about the flea market  

 

man, i bet today was a nice day for the flea market.

 

Picked up a G1 Shockwave from Larry (planned purchase, just wanted to check it over for condition). Allen was browsing parts when I remembered that Larry has drawers full of loose BW/AEC era stuff. Grabbed BM Rattrap, Megatron and Tank Drone, "Dinobots" Grimlock and Terranotron, and BW Scorponok for not very much.

There was also a dude outside with lots of junkers for $2 each, which got me my "find of the day" so to speak - a G2 Slingshot with an intact head! Now to swap the head out with my broken one without breaking something ELSE on that walking hunk of GPS ><

 

Anybody interesting in going to the NC Auto Expo next Saturday at the fairgrounds? I would suggest the Krispy Kreme Challenge on Saturday too but I don't think anybody would do it.
