1. It's close by to me (just gonna go ahead and get that one out of the way first  )
2. Indianapolis already hosts Gen Con (which is much bigger than Botcon) every year already, and they're expanding the convention center. Translation: there's gonna be a lot of room in the center.
3. Getting around the city is very easy. You can go from the hotel to the convention center to the mall without setting foot outside, and there are quite a few nice restaurants (and bars, for you of-age people) within walking distance. My Youtube Page

WOuld be it be cool if it was a short driving distance from me like KC, Tulsa or OKC? Sure you bet, but I like going new places so for everyone that makes a post about how they want it in there backyard, yeah we know already.
Personally as long as its somewhere where theres a few other things to do and good atmosphere and some decent shopping I'd be fine with it.
