I figure I'll hop back on today. I'm not sure of my status still. I really really want to go but there are things in my personal and work life going on right now that makes it hard to get away. This is extremely rare. I'm still hoping.

I really would love to go and met all of you personally. I love meeting people in real life versus online. I hope you all will like to do this again if I don't go or even if I do go  

I do belong to a small group called the Midwest Transfans and we do a meet up once a month. Second Saturday. Everyone is welcome to join on that. We met up, toy shop, eat, trade/buy/sell toys, talk. We love meeting new TF fans. The more the merrier.

 

Alright, I'm going to call Chatterbox tomorrow (Wed) after work just to let them know how many people are coming. At this point we have 7 who I'm assuming will be there, and I'll figure some percentage of the maybe's as well. Please let me know if your status becomes more definite either way!

Also, I'm going to call the Bloomington TRU and confirm that it's OK for us to have a little swap meet in their parking lot. Shouldn't be a problem, but I'm going to get the OK ahead of time anyway.

So the plan is to meet at the Chatterbox, then go to TRU for the trading? Why not just do it all (outside, obviously) at the Chatterbox? I can check that TRU on Friday to see if there's anything worth going there for.

As far as a list of stuff I'm bringing - I don't know all I'll be bringing. I know I have a couple spare MOC RID cars and a MOSC '76 Bumblebee, but any other stuff I bring will be loose. I also have this guy MIB - cool, but not my style. I figure someone may be interested, but he's pricey and he will require a worthy trade. Anybody got any SOC they would trade for it?

 

I'll be coming. I may bring some odds and ends to trade/sell with me, just depends on if I get off my butt and gather it up.

If anyone has a spare Universe Bruticus I wouldn't mind taking it off your hands. I hit North St. Paul, Roseville, The Quarry, Northtown, Blaine, and Mankato Targets yesterday and they had nothing at all

Unless funds prevent us from attending, my wife & I are planning on attending. I'm going to see if any of my friends would also be interested in coming along as well! One of these days I'll get off my tail and join the Midwest_Transfans monthly meet-ups in Eagan, but I'm excited to meet up with other fans from the area.

Jumbo Collector's Case:Very nice condition for it's age, but it's just too big for me to use in my display. There is a hairline crack in the left-side shelf, and a dinged-up corner near at the top where the case opens. (More pictures in my Photbucket Account)

Also, I just called Chatterbox to give them the heads up. I estimated a dozen people at 1 o'clock. They said no problem. The reservation is in my last name, Ziese. Bonus points if you pronounce it correctly. Again, this is at the E 35th St Chatterbox.

MegaMoonMan indicated it may not make sense to head down to TRU to do the swap-meet. Apparently there may be some parking lots in the nearby area that he could direct us to in order to conduct our business. So, we can just play it by ear if everyone is game.

 

Yeah, let's just decide when we get there and see who shows and how it goes. Who knows, we may go full nerd-on and trade toys right in the bar.

I've given it a little thought about some of the other little TFTM bits I aquired over my time at Best Buy, and thought I might put a few of these up for grabs?

First off, the one piece I *WON'T* be bringing unless someone is *seriously* interested; not only because I'm still rather interested in using it one day, but also 'cuz it's so damned BIG! -Litterally, it takes up the entire back seat of my car!!!! You'll notice Unicron to the right hand side for an idea of size...

Prime's upper body, taken from a LARGE DVD shipper. This piece basically plugged into another identical Prime torso on the other side, so it's only 1 piece of cardboard thick (not including the "Transformers" piece that 'plugs into' the front there... I was planning on using this above/near a my collection, but I have not the room... Mind you, I'm still bringing the newer, smaller shipper I posted earlier, but Optimusfan has first dibs on that one...



TFTM Teaser Poster: I'm still interested in keeping, but if the price (or trade) is right...
I have a copy of this poster that I picked up from Carmike Cinemas. One side has been printed backwards, so that when placed into a lightbox, the image shines clearly! (I also have a 'regular poster' version of this if someone is interested.)
I always had plans to buy a frame for this one and frame it backwards... A definite attention-grabber!

If anyone else would like to organize another one feel free. The work + school grind starts up again in two weeks for me, after which I will be MIA until late December. The good news is I will finally finish up my masters at that point, so starting at around Christmas I'll finally have my life back again! Woo!

Anyway, again feel free to organize another one and I'll make it if I can. Otherwise if nothing happens before January I can set something up then.
