I'd love to visit Cali again, but funds are pretty scarce, and air fare/hotel would put it way out of my price range. Looks like this meet-up will be my only chance to get together with fellow collectors this year.

No Botcon for me this year but a chance to see Megamus and xZAOx again would be the next best thing. I live across the river from Louisville and Lexington is only an hour east on I64 so that is no problem.
You guys name the date and I'll show as long as it's a Saturday for sure.

I have always been interested in getting together with some fellow KY collectors. I've have had some issues along the way- family, time, work and school. Lately, I have had all the time in the world, but money has been running tight as I work at one of the Ford plants in Louisville. For a while, I was in a much better position to help out with planning something, but I am no longer able to take the active role. However, I am more than interested in a general get together and always have been.
My idea would have been to get a 'back room' at a Ryan's, or something similar, and have as many show up as possible. I figured there would be no more than 20 of us, so the back room would have worked for privacy, mingling, etc.  Put me on the list and give me a date.

and, i'm not completely sure about this but my parents own a loft in south hill station that i might just be able to get them to use as a location. It'd be private and it's right next to UK so easy to find, plus of course the stores nearby such as Cane's Chicken and Mellow Mushroom Pizza (awesome!)
but i doubt it could fit a lot of people.
School ends for spring break on march 30, and summer on may 28, but any time during the weekend if those two time zones are not okay i may or may not be able to go with. But as said before, a saturday is pretty much a must.  | |
