botcon 2009 speculation thread

Anywhere in the northeast would be fine by me, I'd be happy just to be able to go to my first BotCon.

Another one here in Ohio would be great, but not likely to happen twice in a row. Also, sometime after the Spring semester is over would be great. One of the major reasons I wasn't able to go to this past years was because I had exams that week, and needed to stay put (also because I didn't have enough money).

It's still going to amaze me at how many people will complain about FP that they announce the date so close to the actual 'Con itself when everyone pretty much knows when the date is going to be.

Since the Chicago rumor is going around - the worst thing about that is flights are a royal PITA there. I don't know anyone who's ever had a good experience when they had a stop in Chicago. Canceled flights everywhere.

Edit: However, as a city, I think it'd be fun. Me and the wife had an unexpected overnight stay there due to (you guessed it!) a canceled flight, but after a 2 hour wait in the rescheduling line, 1 hour for the hotel arrangements they made for us to pick us up and get us there, then the whopping 5 hours of sleep before we had to get back up and to the airport again to catch our early morning flight (we were going to a wedding), I didn't get to see much of the city itself.

It's about an 8 hour drive for me, so I'd probably do that. I could go to Cincy where I have inlaws if I needed to break the drive in half too. 'Sides, if you drive you can buy more stuff

I would love Chicago or Fort Wayne In. Both are great places that I enjoyed. Chicago was a great place to visit and Fort Wayne has been used several times so I am familiar with the area. Rhode Island was probably the worst location yet, and I went to Texas with the Hurricane!!! Rhode Island had the worth Airport and the hotel was not the friendliess.

Wish it could come south for ones.

Be closer to where i am.

Texas please, would love to go to one but wife aint too enthused about a "nerdbot convention" so if its close, I could just leave her ass at home.
