Fran, do you know if any of the dealers will be displaying any 3rd party prototypes at the show? I know Lunar Toy Store usually shows off some stuff.

Oh, is anybody going to be selling some of the 3rd party articulated hands for some of the recent Masterpiece figures?

Lol, totally. I'm hoping to see the guy at the last show that was selling mp-11sw for $600. So I can laugh at him.

 

I'm not bringing any prototypes this time as I need my whole table this time.

Wow, really? I'm bringing most of my older MP's but I didn't see a single MP selling for more than $300. Well other than MP-7, transformers masterpiece thundercracker MP-7 | eBay I don't understand that demand.

 

I mean, at the time there was no reissue planned and that's what they were going for on ebay. No one was gonna buy it, but his price was fair.

 

People balk at prices even when they're below going rate. Folks laughed at what I was asking for my Mcfarlane Jaws diorama even though it was significantly below most of the completed auction prices. Eventually someone recognized the deal and paid with a smile.

 

There was the ko announced at that point and I don't know that they ever went that high, other than a couple dopes on ebay. The guy was a goof, when you asked him how much he just looked at you, started giggling and said "do you REALLY want to know?"

 

I have that thing, how much did you get, I'm debating if I should sell mine.

 

I got $200 MISB. When I first decided to sell there wasn't a whole lot of movement on ebay, and some sold for $300+. I just did a spot check out of curiosity and ebay is crawling with them now.   So I guess my timing was right. I only decided to sell because it had been in storage for 10+ years, with little to no chance of ever going out on display. It's an awesome piece though.

Good show, but I have to ask. Are there plans to move this to a bigger venue anytime soon? Would add vendors, help the crowded parking and over crowded show room.
