Got my order of the Frank Welker Megatron signed print + pin as well as the Welker, Blu and Moschitta signed Season 3 print in the mail today from FunPub. Glad I got the toys signed at the show and to be able to pick these signed items afterwards. If the club had a signed version of the Dan Khanna print with all the characters that Frank Welker voiced on the show I would have gotten one as well!

I think there wasa lack of interest not because of the set but location. I am lucky enough to have a very well paying job and take several vacations a year but for alot of families this is there vacation. Chicago is ok for adults maybe but the crime and lack of family centric things is what probably killed it. I havent gone to the last 2 botcons because of location. I enjoyed the first one in san diego but last years set did nothing for me. This years set I thought was pretty solid except for gen optimus and sgt hound. I hate chicago as a vacation destination. No offense chicago people

The fact that NOTHING has sold out says that there was and is a definite lack of interest in the set.

I think the number of people who are just DONE with FunPub continues to grow, as well. The toys this year were good, by and large, whether or not they made a cohesive set; pretty much all of the mold selections were solid with a few exceptions (and those are debatable), deco's were decent, and there weren't any glaring QC/assembly errors like last year. But FunPub does itself no favors with its last-minute registration and poor attention to detail regarding transportation requirements. I really think the fact everything is still available has less to do with the toys themselves and more to do with who's selling them.

And, of course, the ever-growing 3rd party market. These toys look a lot less attractive when, for comparable money, someone can buy an entirely new-mold toy. Official, unofficial, people don't care. Brand loyalty is dead. And FunPub is living in the past.
