Lets get a meet up scheduled and planned and meet each other. Lets get some info gathered for starters and see what we can do to accommodate everyone. Share this post with any TF friends you know in the area.

Location: Chippewa, PA (about 40 minutes north of downtown)
Easiest day to meet-up: Sunday, with Saturday as next best.
How many people with you?: Just my wife and I
Suggestions for venue: Dave and Busters at the Waterfront, New Dimension Comics (C3 Mall is a good spot but really far for me. Cranberry store doesn't have much to accommodate a group of people), Dependable Drive-in (meet there early then get to watch some movies, probably Saturday night), Quaker Steak and Lube (I like the food and know a waitress who could get us VIP seating/treatment in Cranberry), Steel City Con.
Timeframe: Immediately is out of the question for me. I schedule my weekends in advance. Would aim for mid June. June 13/14, 20/21, 27/28 ish. Otherwise SteelCity Con in August.

If everyone fills out the info above as fully as they are comfortable, we can plan something that works for most of us.

Location: West End/ Elliot (about 10 minutes from the stadiums and downtown)
Easiest day to meet-up: Sunday or Saturday, though it depends on my work schedule.
How many people with you?: Just me.
Suggestions for venue: I'm fine with wherever, though i have a huge nostalgia feel for Dave and Busters. Steel City Con.
Timeframe: Immediately as in the next week or so is out of the question for me. I'd like to aim for June as well, preferably a weekend. Or Steel City Con, but i'll only be there for a few hours one day to meet Nichelle Nichols and roam the dealer room (gotta continue my trend of finding a good TF for under $30!).

Easiest day to meet: Saturday or Sunday
Suggestions for venue: Still don't know the area well enough to suggest anything beyond Dave & Buster's or some other restaurant type place
Timeframe: I also plan in advance, so at least a couple week's notice would be great

I can provide some experiences with the meets I used to go to in Phoenix. They recommended buying something from whatever venue we were at (where applicable) to help support their business. They also allowed private sales between us as long as the venue was cool with it. They started getting a little more organized when one guy was able to open his business on the weekends; he had a conference room with a projector, so we could put up pictures of upcoming figures and such and talk about them. We did mini-reviews, too, where we took turns to talk about new purchases for a minute or two. Not saying the Pittsburgh meets will need to be like that, but just putting some ideas out there.

Easiest day to meet: Saturday. Sunday if given enough notice.
How many people? Just me but there's a chance that my girlfriend could come too.
Suggestions for venue: I've never been to steel city con so that would be awesome on multiple levels. Dave and busters works too.
Timeframe: three weeks is plenty for me.

Easiest day to meet-up: weeknights, sunday afternoons, and saturday nights(other than the 23rd and the 30th)
How many people with you?: just me, my wife and son have no interest
Suggestions for venue: Dave and Busters, maybe a primanti bros. location, latitude 360?(never been there but i hear its like D&B)
Timeframe: weekday nights, sunday afternoons, saturday nights or late afternoons other than these next 2 saturdays as listed above.

might I add, we've been trying to do this a couple times now and it falls through and loses steam. I think it may be hard to get a day where everyone can attend. we should just pick a day, time and venue. we can try to do this once a month or every 2 months if it takes off.

 

Before this loses steam and dies off like every time before, I am just going to set a date/time/place and see who shows up. Actually, since Steel City Con isn't too far off, I'm going to set 2 days and hope to get a better over-all turn out that way.

We can meet up in the bar/game area. Once we get a head count we can get a table to eat and get to know each other a bit. We can play it by ear after this. If we get a big turnout we can consider reserving the party room next time for activities.

The time is negotiable here since it runs pretty much all day. I prefer to be there as early as possible and I'm usually winding down by 2. We can meet in the small dining area between the vendors and artist alley. They usually have a bunch of tables setup there by the ATM.

I can do saturday june 13th or sunday the 14th, at dave and busters. looking forward to it. Is anyone planning on bringing anything to trade or sell with them? do any of you guys collect other things? other than transformers?

 

SCC should work. It's just the 14th is the one day I know for sure won't work. Ah well. I do have a big box full of TFs I want to sell off.

I set the 14th for Dave and Busters if you can make it. I didn't plan on bringing anything to buy/sell. That would be best for the Steel City Con. This time around we can get to meet each other and even talk about what we have to buy/sell in the future.

As of this posting there is no one else confirmed coming to DnB on the 14th. If its just me and my wife we can easily just call it a date night. Or perhaps a double date night if Wraithier is coming. It would really help alleviate the unknown if anyone who "might" come can give a ballpark percentage of whether they are actually coming.

I don't mind if no one shows up. I would prefer if a handful of people show up. But it sure would feel like a failure if its a 2 or 3 person meet. C'mon guys!

 

If no one else confirms for Dave and busters, and the only people confirmed are from the north of the city. We can have a meet up in cranberry if you want.
But I would much rather have a bigger pittsburgh turn out, come on guys

 

Your date does not work for my nephews as they will be traveling down here to Va Beach,Va so we can head out to botcon on that Monday

 

I cant make it on the 14th because of work. Maybe we could try and plan another gathering before SCC? I know i'll likely only be at SCC for a few hours on the Saturday it's happening in August (assuming i'm not working) as i'm really only going to meet Nichelle Nichols, traipse around the dealer area and maybe meet Tricia Helfer.

 

I can't do steel city con, I'm usually with my 4 year old and he's usually ready to leave once I've finished looking through the con.
Hopefully we can do a get together before scc, what about the following weekend? The 20th or the 21st of June?

Location: Greensburg, PA (~1 hr east of Pgh)
Easiest day to meet-up: Generally available whenever, aside from medical appointments
How many people with you?: My girlfriend would most likely be with me.
Suggestions for venue: Dave and Busters at the Waterfront works, but it can be a bit loud for my taste, particularly in the evening. There's a quiet comic book store with lots of room out here in Greensburg called the Vault, but I highly doubt yinz (Pittsburghese yay!) are going to come out here. North Park Lounge in Cranberry would work as long as it was afternoon, not evening - way too busy in the evening! Steel City Con is not a good idea for me - I imagine it would be way too crowded and loud.
Timeframe: Busy the weekend of the 27th (Relay for Life).

 

So are there any definites for this Sunday at Dave and Busters?
