I didn't think this was necessarily supposed to be in the Transformers General Discussion board, but regardless the question remains. It would be nice to even have a fan meet up, maybe trade/sale figures, or just hangout. Too bad that none really exist.

Reading this made me imagine an Elvis themed Transformer.

As a Tennessean (I only live in NC at the moment), the whole state other than Nashville and Memphis is mostly either suburban or rural. Sure, there are a ton of fans, but they're spread out quite a bit. That said, all it takes is a few who are willing to take it on to make it happen.

There are fairly big towns/cities though, with a lot of places it can happen.

Adventurecon comes to Knoxville every year, I think. That's about the best it gets around here...

I'm in driving distance of Nashville and Mufreesboro. If anyone is interested, let's discuss. I'm willing to drive up to an hour. Huntsville, AL isn't too far either.

Comic Con will be in Nashville this month.

Oh, I just found this website!
    Fandom | Nashville Geek Life

I wish I had known about this since I couldn't go to DragonCon this year! I'm sure they'll have more meetups.
No Dragon Con For You? | Nashville Geek Life

I also just found this. "Geek Media Expo" multifandom con. I might have to go to that.
    GMX | Geek Media Expo Vol 6. | Nashville, TN | October 24-26, 2014

What would we do without Google!?

I think Nashville could support a meetup, or even a smaller sized convention. I remember roaming around places like the Great Escape back during my school days. Nashville has a lot of cool areas, and a good number of sci-fi fans.

Spread the word! Let's have a meetup! There's the Geek Media Expo in Franklin in late October that would be cool to hang out at with fellow Transformers fans.

Anyone near Putnam County? You know, Monterey, Cookville, Crossville, etc?

There's a few small toy shows in the Nashville, Memphis, and Knoxville areas. I've heard good things about GMX, but won't be able to go, as I'll be in Chicago for TFCon as a vendor (TFMarketplace)

I might have to check out the next Nashville toy show. The Cool Springs area is best for me but still a little drive. I'm definitely going to GMX.

Argh! I wish I was going to TFCon.

I don't think so. Monterey is a small mountain, pretty much close, or part of Cookville. Monterey is also known for being an old Indian place.

Does anyone want to meet at Geek Media Expo the last weekend of October?

There's a part of me that thinks that Pigeon Forge/Gatlingburg would be a great spot for a meet up.

Funny you should mention the Geek Media Expo. Back in 2012 I met the voice of Slingshot, Air raid and Chase. The one and only Rob Paulsen. I also met the one of the writers from the original MOTU series Robert Lamb. Very awesome guys. I to missed out on Dragon con but bought a ticket to Comic Con Nashville for Saturday only. I will be up there for that.
