Ok ok, I voted Rodimus when this was first posted, but I change my mind lol,
    here's why

(I don't know if this has already been brought up, but) Remember the Necrobot? Course you do. When it took down Flywheel's death, Hound was there, Chromedome, Dipstick, Drift, and

    Ultra Magnus

This makes perfect sense, it takes 18 months 'later', and that is approximately when Dark Cybertron is happening. Also, Hound has certainly been getting a lot of page time, so perhaps he's in the limelight before he bites the dust. So, I'm pretty sure Magnus is biting the dust too.

Also, maybe that means Drift will be appearing as well.

Except we have no idea whether or nor that's the Necrobot, what the list of names means, etc. etc.

I mean yeah, if you take those panels at face value, it could totally be the Necrobot, but considering that it's MTMTE there's probably more going on (for instance, he shares a body type with many people that were shown to work for the Institute).

Also, I'm sure it hasn't been eighteen months since the Scavengers story ended. Pretty much everything from issue #14 on takes place within the span of a few days, and there aren't that many time breaks between issues after the Scavengers debuted.

Ah, but it has been just about 18 months. In MTMTE 22, it says that it has been eighteen months since the Lost Light took off in the Story So Far.

Maybe Ultra Magnus "dying" the first couple of times counted? Also Hound, Dipstick, Chromedome and Drift haven't died yet. And Ultra Magnus' name was under theirs.

    Ultra Magnus never actually died

He was first dying, then presumed dead, but never actually died.

So I really think Ultra Magnus bites the dust, along with those on the list of course.

Yeah, but the "Eighteen Months Later" in issue #8 is eighteen months after Flywheels died (which we don't really have a definite time frame in regards to when that happened, but even if it happened right around the Lost Light bits in that same issue, the events from issue #9 to now have happened in the span of a few weeks max), not after the Lost Light's takeoff.

Who says they're supposed to die? Maybe he wasn't adding Flywheels' name… maybe he was gonna delete it. Selecting the "S", then backspacing over it. "Welp, this guy was on the list of bots I needed to track down… and he's dead. Time to remove him." The Necrobot was supposed to visit the battlefields of the war & record the dead or whatever… the war's over, and Flywheels didn't die in the battle of Autobot vs Decepticon, so maybe he's not the Necrobot. Things with Roberts are rarely what they seem. There tends to be…

    ...more than meets the eye.

I am still betting on Rodimus. It is only reason why I came up with LL new captain in April.

Yeah, sometimes I forget how crazy Roberts can be with his plot trickery. Also that last bit is now sig'd forever.

Orion gave Rodimus another reason for LL getting a new captain in Chapter 8: "You could have resigned." Rodimus even, after a moment, agreed that it would've been the better option.

So he could step down as captain (maybe sliding to the #2 or #3 spot) to allow Megatron to take up the chair (if that's even what actually happens)

Hmmm. That could happen. I guess we will wait until April. I think since death is temporary thing and who ever dies will not stay dead forever.

Prowl I think there is a huge story there not just his fan club the Constructicons. It is stuff he did as SIC and the Shadowplay angle and the New Institute. Not mention Getaway and Skids.

Bumblebee his death will not be as dramatic as anything mean story wise he is not well loved by the fans. So the impact is not as huge.

Ultra Magnus I still think it so obvious totally not Roberts style.

I guess I would choose Starscream but he is not an option but has more leadership. Or even Soundwave that would not be a surprise but not unexpected. I know there a round 2 coming up for the Waves so much unfinished business.

Rodimus would have the greatest impact and the most Tragic.

Lol, no way. They aren't going to make a big fuss about adding new femmebots back into the universe and then kill the most popular one off. Not to mention reducing the new level of femmebot presence by 25% in one stroke.

She may not be used as much but I don't think they will kill her soon. Besides she also an original char from one of the authors like Rung. i think that will offer some protection.

Odds are good, unless she ends up randomly receiving a toy, that she'll end up being built up and, as soon as they need a dead female, she'll be the one to bite it. Look at Ambulon.

True. I don't think it will be right after DC but somewhere in next season though.

She's been mentioned in future solicits. She's surviving DC, at least.

Nothing that I've read indicates the authors are poor enough writers to need to resort to fridging female characters to progress the story. Killing off some random boybot is different to removing 25% of the femmebots from the world AFTER realising they needed to change course on that subject. I'm not saying they will never die but this is so speculative it is ridiculous. Not to mention the borderline sexism of viewing a female character a expendable just because the authors might 'need a female death'.

i don't get why Nautica dying is even a thing? the topic's about something pretty specific that doesn't really have to do with her?
