I just know that I can't wait for Starscream to switch bodies.

Can't stand his WFC design anymore!

Also Rattrap's intoduction sounds like everything I expected it to be >_>

All they do in this comic line is talk, punch each other and occasionally someone gets killed.

Hopefully the Construction Patrol will prove useful.

I'll be picking this one up when BH and MTMTE come out, so I get all of them at once.

Same exact thing happens in MTMTE, except at least in RID, you can actually tell who the characters are.

Here's where we see our Scoop toy!, and Starscream is goig into his Armada body I'm sure. What's interesting is going to be seeing Rattrap's body and if it's toyable...

Yeah, I am intrigued by the idea of Starscream G1 going into an Armada body, how Scoop will be portrayed (did he ever get time in the MArvel comics?), and how RAttrap will play into this notion.

More and more, with the increase use of Beast Wars characters (well... two) I wonder if the NAILs will be the groups that branch out and become MAximals; while Razorclaw claims leadership and establishes the PRedacons as their own faction.

that's the flavor of this book. Political intrigue, fights, and explosions to go along with the backdrop of a renewed Cybertron. What is wrong with that? I'm applauding IDW for giving us two books with two different flavors. I get my character building (because those characters need it), adventure narrative in MTMTE and my Autobots/Decepticon fighting, political drama, action galore stuff from RID.

We've seen Prowl developing (and continuing to develop), along with Starscream coming into his own. 'Screamer is owning this book for him and the use of him has been fantastic. He's in his arena and I'm loving it.

I don't see why people decry it when they have another title to go to. This isn't the only IDW Trans-comic people!!

I know right? I mean, who the fuck is in this picture? You can't tell at all who this is. Is it Hound and Laserbeak? Cheetor and Ratchet? Who knows!?

Have you two actually read any of the comics? Doesn't sound like it. Did you wander into the comic forum by accident?

It's funny because another review I just read says he's true to his BW self. Different opinions and all...

True to his BW self in his general behaviors and mannerisms. Not true to BW self in his actions.

More will come out in this thread when the issue is released tomorrow. I don't want to spoil too much for everyone.

So says the guy with a pic in his sig that says "swerve" next to it, just so people would know...:D

Oh and btw... I've read every issue of MTMTE, I just dont get all the fanlove for it, I think the art is awful, I know I'm a heretic, whatever... I know I'm in the minority in thinking RiD is a better book, its just my preference thats all. I dont go into MTMTE threads talking crap about it however, so why do people have to talk crap about RiD in a RiD thread?

Hey, what tastes delicious to someone, can taste like pig shit to another. Take Horchata for example.

I don't know, but I do know that you're the one who brought up MtMtE in an RiD thread.

That's a bit worrying. Will wait for the release though.

But really, the issue with introducing characters is they may need more time/space, maybe their own Spotlight comic, to settle properly into their universe. For instance, Sky-Byte hasn't really done much so far, apart from team up with Jazz for a musical duet or two; he needs to be more, well, Sky-Byte: more bumbling, eager to please, aquatic - and the narrative as it is (which is doing great btw) can't allow for that.

But the narrative's still ongoing. Maybe there'll be more for each character to do in the future. Right now I want to see how our favourite vermin appears in IDW.

I found Rattrap to be pretty true to his early early BEast Wars character. He's very close to his character in the first few episodes. I can see where the issue is, but I think they found a great direction in which to take Rattrap... and even explain his alt mode.

I'll save the rest for tomorrow, but I wanted to at least comment on Ratters

Yeah, whatever dude. Not only is this not true, if you're going to boil it down to just these three points it practically applies to every work of fiction.

Seriously, I'm not even sure if you're describing RID, or an episode of Star Trek. Or CSI Miami.

I don't agree with Newholl's statement at all, but I don't get this rebuttal? Somebody says something negative about RID, which you counter by saying something mean about its comic counterpart?

If you like RID better than MTMTE, for any reasons, that's fine, but if MTMTE is faulty for making all the characters equally 'witty', RID is faulty for making all the characters equally dull.

I don't know what to say to this. You counter edgs by commenting on his signature? Which in fact, wasn't made by him, but by me. And yes, all the character banners have names on them. I'm not even going to defend or explain that as that would make no sense. :redface2:

    Ok.

What you're saying is true and there may still be retemption for Rattrap. However, there's one pretty big action he performs in this issue in which future redemption will be difficult to complete. Maybe there is something behind it (doesn't seem like it), but it'll take time to flush out.

Artwork on Rattrap is good and he does look good. I am not overly fond of BW so I will not judge. I do like the Starscream artwise.
