I wouldn't mind Koyasu as Megatron but I've pegged him as Overlord as you already saw.

Rie Kugimiya is a weird choice for Whirl but I remembered his holomatter avatar so it kinda works.

Junichi Suwabe might sound a bit too young for Magnus though.

I would have expected a female seiyuu for Tailgate, Rewind or First Aid...ah well.

still a pretty solid cast.

 

I don't know as much about seiyuu, I admit, but I think Ryusei Nakao would be a great Overlord at least. I agree on Norio Wakamoto for Tarn, and for Skids I'd follow my own lead and make him Katsuyuki Konishi (since Kyle Hebert is my English Skids; he's Kamina in both languages, heh).

 

Nakao as Overlord, hmmm that'd be interesting.

I'd see him more as a Jhaxius or Flatline type of voice, even Starscream could work.

Wakamoto as Tarn would be perfect. Tarn needs a great voice and Wakamoto is legendary and memetic, it's the kind of voice in the Japanese language with the sound that it could kill you.

I do approve of Konishi as Skids, though I could see him as Jazz too.

I want someone cool with a history relating to Megatron to voice Terminus. Maybe Hugo Weaving? I never begrudged him for his comments about voicing movie Megs, he just was never that into the role. In my casting, I enjoy "hiring" actors who played less than popular characters. Like Shia and Ramon Rodriguez voicing Scavengers.

Avoiding any further political discussion but it would certainly fit end political discussion.

I think for now Sentinel is Nimoy to me. Will probably pick someone else eventually.

 

I'm personally leaning towards Nimoy, but I'm going to wait a bit longer.

Terminus will be Frank Welker. Think something more akin to his Odin voice.

How fitting would it be for the original Megatron to be the closest thing Megatron had to a father figure.

I was already using him as Galvatron and Rumble/Frenzy...might as well use him but for a role he had never done before.

 

I could see David Kaye as Terminus, if we're going by the whole "past Megatron voices" thing, though obviously not sounding like BW Megs. He can do a deeper, more calm-sounding voice for Terminus.

 

Or how about Frank Welker himself? I got Chris McFeely as my IDW Megs, so have the original Megs as Terminus.

 

Sometimes I keep debating if I should have Kaye or Corey Burton for Megatron in IDW. They both would fit perfectly.

Though I also use Kaye as Prowl.
