so what are the expections for the Upcoming Optimus Prime Solo Series?

    does anyone think it'll be An Ensemble piece or will this just be Completely the Optimus Prime show with little attention elsewhere?

    Shouldn't we wait until Revolution ends before discussing this? Like who knows how the status quo will change when the Autobots learn about the Dire Wraiths invasion of Earth.

    I'm pretty sure it's still going to very much be an ensemble piece in how it's still also a relaunched exRiD, and there's that cover where Optimus is with Soundwave, Arcee, and Aileron.

    I think they renamed it Optimus Prime because having a comic named transformers when there are also cartoons, movies, 2 other ongoing comics , and video games out there is anomalous and confusing for the average consumer (ie not us).

    Optimus prime has brand recognition thar transcends the collector fandom, the idea yet being that if people end up picking up the comic because "hey issue 1 of optimus prime, what's this all about? "
    Then success for marketing.

    It better be ensemble.

    I really dislike IDW Optimus ever since post Dark Cybertron, he was a lot better as "Orion Pax".

    This will be an ensemble cast book. No character by now could support a solo book.
    I start liking this Optimus more, but I don't think he can carry a series.

    But the name is recognisable, so... Good rebranding.
