IDW has done an amazing job of making characters many could care less about VERY popular, especially in MTMTE, Swerve, Tailgate, Chromedome, Rewind, those damn lovable Scavengers. Let's be honest, Swerve was probably the winner of 1987's "pegwarmer award"

So which 'bots do you think would get a huge benefit from an IDW "focus"? it doesn't have to be a Generation 1 character of course, as Transformers from Beast Wars, original Robots in Disguise, Beast Machines, Prime, and a number of "Japan only" characters have made the jump to the the mainstream IDW reality already

    My votes....

Repugnus. Believe he was in "Maximum Dinobots"...though I don't have that series, I do recall his spark was locked up in Garrus-9. But the idea of an Autobot who's so ruthless, vile and willing to do jobs even the Wreckers won't touch has so much potential....consider him the "anti-Thundercracker"

ChopShop the "Deluxe" Incecticon from generation one. How is this guy not part of the Scavengers? a kleptomaniac in the Decepticons ranks? How does he not get his head shot off the first time he's caught? The 'cons know he steals, and he knows they know he steals, at least Swindle is subtle about it

R-Blade an autobot "cyberjet" who I believe was only in Japan. Why Him? I'll copy from the Transformers wiki:
works as a consul at Autobot City, working on matters of diplomacy with the humans of Earth. When pressed into battle, his "Sonic Lance" missiles are loaded with a wide variety of warheads, giving him a great many combat options. Thankfully, he has the skill to properly exploit those options. He's a big Jetfire fanboy, which explains his colors.
Pyro was an Optimus Fanboy: Dead. Bumper was a Bumblebee fanboy: dead....I think this guy has potential, but needs a new name...."Skyfire" anyone?

Chop Shop's currently part of Lockdown's crew, isn't he? Wouldn't mind him getting a bit more characterization! :)

Here are some of my picks (some for their awesome characterization in other fiction, some simply for looks:)

    -Space Case (G2)
    -Slipstream (Animated)
-Bulkhead (has already appeared twice in his Prime form)
    -RESCUE BOTS!

Beast Wars Magmaboss (but as one being with three stand-a-lone beast modes)

Beast Wars Silverbolt,Inferno,Megatron,Galvatron, etc (Since we already had 2 Tankors, well why not all the Beast Era Characters with some names)

Beast Machine Dinobots, Movieverse Scorn and Slash , & Cybertron Repugnus as a Tribe of Dinosaur-based Beings.

Masterforce Minerva (But as just a Cybertronian not a Human in a Trans-sector body.)

I'd second Repugnus, always loved his bio.

More Bluestreak and his tragic past would be appreciated. C'mon Roberts, do me proud!

Fangry would be cool, he was a great thug in Marvel's run

I'd like to see Hound fleshed out a bit too, he's such a background character at the moment, it just feels like a waste.

Yes, please. I think Animated Sentinel Prime could be good stuff too. (I know his silhouette is currently hanging around Elita-1's ship, but maybe a little more use than that.)

IDW has got a lot of Autobot jerks who are Machiavellian monsters who do terrible things for the greater good, but not a lot of just straight-up jerks... guys who are good at their jobs, they're not horrible people, but they're inflexible and think you should shut up because screw you, that's why. There's a big-chin-shaped void that needs filling.

I would read a Quickstrike/Inferno violent buddy comedy so hard. Two post-war psychopaths doing their best on the open road.

Sky Lynx as in give him to Roberts to make him awesome as he would fit perfectly with the crew of the Lost Light.

Mindwipe, many here have stated how he could be interesting as a Decepticon Memosurgeon or Decepticon expert in counselling and mental health (whatever that would mean for them)

    Tarantulas could work.

Slipstream - A female Seeker, dude, we need more female Seekers beyond her but it would be awesome to see her and her interaction with the current IDW Starscream could make a few laughs.

Minerva - I like the design and a fembot fan, I just want a Minerva figure and I want her to appear in some new form of media and now is the time of the Minerva!

Bulkhead - He is just an awesome character, I once saw a design of him being more G1 like with an actual face, not that bucket for a mouth and chin, and I think that could work but honestly, I just want a G1 Bulkhead.

Lugnut - He appeared once in Spotlight Trailbreaker and again in some prequel stuff but to have him in a modern tale would be interesting with his glorious leader now an Autobot.

Blackout - Now we had Barricade (Now deceased) and honestly I wished Barricade was alive but another movie Con they could add could be Blackout.

Thunderblast - She can seduce any Con, she was an interesting character that would make a scene.

I also wish they didn't kill Barricade, otherwise he needs more time then what they gave him.

Rid2015 Steeljaw should be in the IDWverse, acting like a villain who operates behind the scenes. Also, Rid2015 Zizza, who does seem to pose a large threat since she can control minds. Jackpot, Mainframe, Hound, and more femme cons should be in the IDWverse. (Like Twirl, Lyzack, Howlback, etc.)

    Some of my own choices.

Movie Blackout: He's a character that really could use some more characterization since the movies at the very least made him more well known then the G1 version.

Dreads: They could act as for hire bodyguards for the Decepticon generals.

Crosshairs: I don't think we have enough Autobot jerks that aren't exactly evil or willing to do evil things and Movie Crosshairs could fill that role.

Que: DOTM Que could be interesting to see since from what we've seen from DOTM,he's one of the more good hearted Autobots and him being in IDW can serve as somewhat of a foil for the more morally questionable and flawed Autobots

Guiltar: He's an interesting concept that I wish IDW can use somehow like an experiment Starscream secretly did.

Armada Overload: He could add into the TW saga with not only having ties to UM and the headmasters but it could also be a cool way to do a repaint of PM Optimus Prime with a new head that's Overloads

Powered Convoy: I know we have Delta Magnus serving as Powered Convoy in a way but it would be cool to see IDW expanding on the idea of Powered Convoy being a clone of UM like in DW

Exhaust: He should have some more exposure.

The RID/CR Autobot brothers and Fire Convoy: Since they're meant to be different characters in the original Japanese version,it would be cool if they showed up having their Japanese names as a way to set them apart from the Autobots they shared names in the American version.

Thunderblast and Crosswise...honestly anyone in Cybertron.

I wish Bulkhead and Lugnut had bigger roles in the continuity, I also want Slipstream in it.

I've always wondered how they'd use the Dinobots that were made in the Bay movies, honestly. Like, how would they go about making them look like the other Dinobots while still maintaining similarity to their normal designs? How would they characterize them? It's so interesting to think about now that they seem to have opened the door for introducing more Dinobots into the mix.

That could be pretty interesting to see.

Oh wow, can't believe I forgot about Mindwipe, creepy robot mystic with Mind Control powers? as long as he's terrifying instead of campy, that would be awesome

Tarantulus would be interesting too, now that we have a whole new "beast planet" I could see him as a foil for Starscream, or at least beig the Beast Planet's answer to Prowl

NuRiD Steeljaw, except probably he needs a name change.

NuRiD Strongarm. As long as she can stay close to her original characterisation without being turned into a grim & gritty psycho Judge Dredd/Harry Callahan type of cop.

Lately I have been having some ideas about Lockdown and his own crew consisting of mostly movie characters from Hunt for the Decepticons:

Axor: Lockdown's younger brother with big ambitions and delusions of grandeur. Call him Lockdown's Starscream.

Hailstorm: The technician of the group who is fixated on overcompensating his own physical weakness with strong weaponry.

Terradive: The skilled and cold warrior with little to no time for anything that is not training and prove his abilities in combat.

Jetblade: The prankster of the group and Terradive's self-proclaimed best friend despite that he can't stand him. These two could hold-up a sitcom!

Lugnut: By far the strongest member of the group and possibly a Point One Percenter. A simple mind who is completely loyal to his leader. Lockdown's most powerful weapon and maybe his most unconditional friend.

Fracture: A hotheaded fighter who can't wait to start kicking the robotic behind of anyone who crosses her way.

Yep, this is all pure fanfiction but I think there's a way this could work based on their own bios. Lugnut and Hailstorm have already appeared in the IDW main continuity and Lockdown and Lugnut have a history from Animated.

And I'm thinking about this mostly because I recently got these toys and love them.

Well, I think they've screwed up nearly every character I like, so anyone besides Mindwipe would be fine with me.

    Thats Right!!
We need more female characters in IDW comics and those ones who are not USELESS and are strong and influential characters
