Sorry, I'm ot trying to resurrect a thread here, but did have a couple of extra questions so far doing pretty well on scrounging for back issues at local comic stores and on ebay. From what I can tell the starting limited series were a bit "meh" "All Hail Megatron was awesome. Most of the regular series afterwards was a bit meh (except for the Orion Pax, Megatron, pre chaos issues....which were beyond awesome) and now the Rid/MTME) series is amazing A little disappointed by the "former" RID series, adding Earth/hamans seems to bog stories down too much, then again, I just haven't seen a likable human character yet....likable compared to giant transforming robots at least but questions.... There are a LOT of series here!....RID, MTMTE, Spotlight(s), Heart of Darkness, Windblade, Maximum Dinobots, Stormbringer, Monstrosity, Autocracy, Punishment ect;....is there an official order I should be collecting/reading these? Also where is it established that Bluestreak and Silverstreak are separate bots?
The Hardcover editions of IDW are pretty good at collecting things in a decent order. Keep in mind that production order and in-universe chronological order are quite different as prequels happen all the time. You're probably best off reading stuff in release order as some stories will build/refine previously written stories. Sorry, but there really isn't one perfect list to my knowledge. As for ___streak, I think they are completely the same character in IDW but they were prompted to use Silver during that era when they had the Universe toy out (who had to be called that for Trademark reasons) and other than that, they've just used Bluestreak. It's much like how Trailbreaker switched to Trailcutter when his toy was out.
Oh Kinda surprise/disapointed, but thank you More help please, from all my catching up, I Love MTMTE, and "the comic formerly know a RiD" is kind of hit or miss, but my search for back issues continues At the end of the Tyrest saga, on his deathbed, Tailgate told Cyclonus he left him a gift, this was brought up again in the (heart wrenching) most recent issue.Was the "gift" ever revealed? no spoilers, but issue should I specifically be tracking down?
