Ok well i just got through the issue and i'm penning my thoughts but seriously whats up with the art in the issue? :S
Art was a bit meh but I thought the story/writing was much better than last issues. I'm loving Elita as a strict but fair leader, and ohmigosh STRIKA! So happy to see her again. And we have some mysteries set up for TAAO with the misnamed Titan and the Swindle group.
All a bit simplistic still, but the most intriguing of recent issues for me. Elita may turn out to be an interesting character. "If you could keep your hands off my chassis" -seriously?
Way better than last issue and has me pretty interested for what 'Till All Are One will have in store. Very intrigued by Carcer being a different Titan entirely. Carcer means Prison in Latin, could he have been a prison ship originally? It would explain the appearance of the ship and why they're "not a people of luxury". Elita could have lead an uprising, maybe seizing the chaos of the core breach, throwing their previous "leader" (warden) into it, commandeered the ship/Titan and eventually encountered Tempo, slaughtering the crew and using Tempo for parts to keep Carcer alive, hence initially being identified as a different Titan. There's my probably-wrong theory, anyway.
That does seem possible. Good issue, art was iffy at times though. And looks like the Combaticons are looking for payback. But I wonder how long we'll to wait for that to get addressed?
Probably not until the new series.... By then Scott might have forgotten. If you could keep your hand of my chassis seems to be more feminist "bu*****t. Its getting old now folks
Hasbro, please... Strika needs a toy of this design! Or at least do Rook's redeco of her... And I'm gonna pretend that "If you could keep your hand of my chassis" did never happen, just like with Firestar/Nautica soap opera. The best way to handle it, really. Combaticons are also present in ExRiD, so it may be quite soon.
How? Pretty sure the implication was bronze-bot is a bit too gung-ho about public displays of affection, even during military roll call, not some comment on sexual harassment or whatever "feminist" message you took from it.
You may be right but Id imagine Im not the only one who took that from it. It may not have been the intention but that is how it looks to me.
This wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The dynamic between Windblade, Starscream and Elita-One was well-handled and the rest of the story seems promising. Still, solving the Chromia plot-thread in such an anticlimactic fashion was really bad.
That was an interesting and solid issue. Elita is a very tough and cunning warrior. And she has some secrets, too. Love the "when you die" lines between Starscream and Windblade. And Combaticons are coming. Starscream's list of enemies thickens. There was a weird panel where it looked like Starscream's head was on Devastator's body. The art isn't bad, but it's not really suitable for robots.
I wonder how this series runs concurrent to Ex-RiD? Cause we haven't really gotten much of an indication of when it does.
Oh, I see. You thought Scott was making a feminist point about men not being allowed to grope women whenever they feel like it. With you now. No, that was just you.
There's another problem about this issue for me. The way how the supposed "romance" between those two robots was handled. You know, most of the romantic relationships so far have been handled in an asexual way and now someone says: "If you could keep your hands off my chassis", bwhu? I mean, these two are probably female Transformers which makes it interesting but is still pretty weird to see that kind of relationship this way now.
I'm sure you're right, if there's one thing I've learnt in my time here it's that some people will make tenuous claims of "feminist preaching" when women are involved in anything in any capacity. "You love it." "That's not the point!" Green-bot does love it (pretty sure bronze-bot is meant to be a ladybot as well), but isn't happy that their fooling around during roll call got them in trouble. Simples.
Yeah, that was my issue with it. The most we've seen CEs do so far is hold hands. If this was trying to introduce something, it's done it very badly.
