I'll note male writers don't get comments like those. Barber has more signs of Arcee/Galvatron shipping than Scott does Windscream. Plus, well, one time on her tumblr she asked, in short, "What is up with the Wind/Scream shipping?". It's pretty clear it's not one she's for.
I don't really see Galvatron shipped with Arcee, considering how unsuited for any romance are both characters. Unless they could go on a date composed entirely of killing random bystanders. Or each other. There was more hints that Arcee cares more about Prowl, except Prowl doesn't seem to care about anyone but himself. But, indeed, fans shipping Screamer and WB are going all over the top. It may be affecting my perception. Even if Screamer is as unlikely to have realtionship with anyone as is Prowl.
I liked that Starscream saved Windblade, it matches more with how Barber has written him in the past. Starscream has been recognizing "friendship" or at the very least camaraderie in his recent years. Wheeljack is someone who Starscream has learned to put his faith in other than himself, and similarly he had found himself baffled by Scoop's selflessness during Dark Cybertron. Though there isn't much reason for him to save Windblade that isn't from pure pragmatism, he does care about his people, and he does want the best for Cybertron. I don't think there's any "shipping" going on with Windblade anywhere, but Roberts has got a few "Nautica/Nightbeat" shipping and "Nautica/Brainstorm" shipping posts. I guess this kind of thing just happens when female characters are involved.
Mairghread's already come out and confirmed for the moment she has no more couples planned beyond what we've seen. And considering the premise of this stuff is that these two REALLY hate each other and are ultimately using each other for their own ends...I'm not seeing the fires of romance.

Tell me that's not flirting, Galvatron-style! He also called her charming when she blew off the Constructicons. Right, and even that's not overly shippy. I thinks Roberts is the shippiest of IDW's writers. Fans like shipping Screamer, but most also admit he'd be horrible for almost everyone ^^
Y'know, that sounds like the plot to X-Men 3. The Galvatron/Arcee thing has been pretty interesting for me, actually. I don't ship the two (IDW Arcee doesn't get shipped with anyone... except maybe Whirl), but their interactions are new and fresh.
No that's what happens when the fandom is just desperate and depraved. We still had plenty of yaoi shipping in MTMTE before Nautica showed up but the Smurfette principle with Nautica really upped the ante. Velocity so far hasn't been getting any love even though she's still new. I ship Arcee and Prowl. I mean they have that sort of understanding even though it'll never lead to anything.
Personally I really didnt like this issue, the overall story progression was meh at best and i hated the characterization for several of the individuals in this issue. Not a fan of the art style at all and didnt like the design of of the titan or its easy demise. One of the most disappointing IDW issues of TF i have read, save maybe an issue or 2 of the Chaos event, and Ive been reading them since Infiltration.
Yeah, I was a little puzzled at the lack of the insectoid beasts. Indeed. It just feels rushed, with little thought about how to get there.
Galvatron/Arcee NO Arcee/prowl hell no *shrugs* galvatron cares about himself , prowl he's an ass and a jerk doesn't even care about Arcee at all
Hey take a closer look at each character's cause I asked a few of transformers G1 fans and I was right about each relationship between there partners but failed until optimus and arcee are close respect your generation 1 fanatics alright and u might want to look at there backstory once again Autovolt 127
Prowl cares some about Arcee. I think part of what makes them work is they're two individuals who are really bad at casual friendly social stuff, but can totally talk black ops and plots and killing without freaking each other out like many other bots get freaked out, so they can be fairly frank with each other. I think they definitely appreciate the other.
