How much? In terms of the amount of money? In terms of the amount of figures? Any stories to share? Can include third party figures.

    Just curious.

Absolutely. Fiction in general affects my purchases. How much? A lot. It's pretty rare I will buy a TF figure just because it looks cool. Usually, there has to be some tie to something to peak my interest.

Every single TF I have that's not from when I was a kid is due to me liking them in the comics.

Well, if it weren't for MTMTE, I wouldn't have gotten Legends Tailgate or Swerve.

Oh yes. Fiction always effects my purchases. I had almost no interest in Generations until I started reading the comics.

Is there a word that is yess-ier than yes?

I used to just buy stuff from the new movies, stuff from the old movie, and stuff that reminded me of G2. Now I'm very happy buying Prowls and Drifts and Windblades and Swerves and Victorions. It's a lot of fun to be plugged into something organic that descends from that original nostalgia.

I've been pretty much all in through the entire Classics (and following) lines, so I can't really say it changes what I would have bought. If they had made a Classics Swerve, Tailgate, and Brainstorm pre-MTMTE, I still would have bought them.

Even just now I've been starting to eye some Cybertron Ransack toy pictures.

    Oh goodness yes.

Because of limited storage space and funds,I only buy toys/figures of characters I really like. Infact, Skids is the only toy I went out of my to find because I really wanted him.

    Yeah. My priority list is:
    1) Fembots
    2) Comic characters I like
    3) Filling out comic character rosters
    4) Completing lines I like (Combiner Wars)

I would not have bought Waspinator, Tankor or Rattrap if they hadn't been in Windblade. I wouldn't have bought Swerve and Tailgate etc. if not for MTMTE.

Theres no question that I buy figs based on them being in the comics. If a figure isnt in the comics I will usually pass on them with a couple of exceptions.

You can still get Arcee and Chromia as a two pack on BBTS for $31.99. That's not a bad deal.

The comics are definitely affecting my purchases, making enjoyable characters out of figures I normally might not spend money on like Swerve or Skids or Tailgate that become must-haves. But I won't go as far as 3P, although it surely makes a few of them more tempting.

    Yep.

I'm buying the DJD as they come out, and will buy MMC's Impactor & Overlord when they do. Same goes for MT's Swerve/Gears and upcoming Tailgate (though it helps in the latter case that the Hasbro Legends figure is mediocre for me and we never got a Tailgate from the RtS mold).

I've enjoyed Windblade, so that figure and Chromia were instant pickups. Takara going the more-accurate MTMTE route for Magnus, despite the Alpha Trion figure, made it a lock for me. I'm still waiting for someone to make Rung and a (non-breaking, non-FoC) Ironfist.

I'd dropkick babies at SDCC if they ever released a Lost Light Kreon set.

Hell, I'd buy a Leader Thundercracker if it'd included Buster.

I might have to get on that sooner or later, but I can't at the moment...plus I'm Canadian and the dollar is shitty at the moment.

    My thoughts as well.

Emphasis on the dropkicking babies for a Lost Light Kreon set. Metaphorically speaking of course ;)

    Don't remind me.

As for me, yes. Only non comic influenced purchases were Warbotron's Bruticus, Masterpiece Bumblebee, Year of the Horse Optimus, Masterpiece Soundwave, KFC's combining cassettes, and Cosmos. Everything else has been for comics. I even spent $200 for KFC's Transistor just for HiFi. It's a really enjoyable figure but HiFi is so adorable.
