I'm sure that several of us have/are interested in commissions, convention sketches, prints, and original pages from the many talented TF comic artists. So I figured it couldn't hurt to have a thread dedicated to these.

To kick things off, I wanted to share the commissions I got at Botcon.

I got this at Auto Assembly 2014 as quite possibly the best birthday present ever. I asked for Rung to either be holding his glasses or one of his model ships, so I wasn't expecting Sultry Rung(as described by Alex on his twitter) and it is perfect.

 

These are all brilliant. I'm hoping to get an Alex Milne (& Nick Roche if he does them) commission at AA this year, but I don't have any cool ideas so far :/

These were not commissioned by me, but I was given them by a friend who commissioned them from Guido Guidi.

 

How do you guys post these pics

 

WOW, these are great! I love Sultry Rung especially.

 

If you already have a picture uploaded on an image hosting site, then you can just select the option "Insert Image" and copy the image's URL into the field.

Alternatively you can upload the pictures onto the TFW2005 boards themselves. Go to the "Advanced" options for posting there is an "attachments" option that allows you to upload/attach images. In my post I then embedded them in my post proper by using the "insert image" option and copying in the resulting URLs for the image.



Anyway, I also wanted to share one of my other big purchases from the convention. A piece of Brendan Cahill's original art from MTMTE issue 40. For anyone wondering, he mentioned that the page with Ten's wall mural was the first to sell.

 

I wouldn't mind purchasing a panel. It is totally awesome.

Also, that page is amazing, Thelonicon! An MTMTE page or original art is somethint that I have wanted for a very long time, but have never gotten!

 

My commissioned pieces (haven't had time to get some good scans of a few), i have some original comic pages as well but ill post those later since i don't have picture of them atm. My goal is to get a full body commission of my fav character Roadbuster from all the TF artists, so excited to see the full body RB Alex is doing for me for TFcon 2015!!

I REALLY hope more people post in this thead! I really enjoy seeing all these commissions! Props to the RID styled Tidal Wave!  

Anyways.... I've asked for A LOT of Tankors over the years:







This was an Infestation styled Cybertron Menasor.  


This Tankor was actually done by Cassey Coller in Black and White but I added colours to it.  


I REALLY love how this Botanica turned out... but I asked for it to be MTTME styled and I'm not so sure if it looks entirely like it would fit in with the comic. Either way though this piece is still incredible! I love all the colour details Alex did on the vines and lips.

I love the collection of Tankors, i really enjoy seeing characters interpreted by different artists, thats what I'm doing with Roadbuster, and i love my newest acquisition of a full body MTMTE style Roadbuster from Alex at this years TFcon, i almost freaked out when he unveiled it to me.  

 

All I have is Urd from Oh My Goddess as an Autobot.

That does actually sound interesting. At the very least I'd like to see Frank's take on it.

 

Mhm! I actually used the scan he uploaded to twitter as the pic I used here. XD With the onset of more femmebots... I really hope Botanica will make some sort of appearance again and is an actual plantformer (unlike that TFCC version of her who is a repaint/retool of TFP Soundwave).

Tidal Wave is one of my favourite characters from the Unicron Trilogy... just acquired an Energon TW yesterday actually! It would be nice if he would return to a piece of fiction or a new toy too.

Thanks! I try to get as much Tankor art done as I can. I really wish Derrick J Wyatt would take commissions because I would love to see how TFA Tankor would look! I was fortunate enough though to get a quick headshot from him at TFCon 2012 though!  



I also forgot to aff the Pizza Party Tankor I got from Josh Perez in 2013.   Asked him for a Pizza Party TFC Menasor at this year's TFCon, but he said he would have to mail it in... so hopefully I have that to show at somepoint in the near future.  

That sounds like it would be pretty cool!

 

Here's a comission of Rotorstorm from Alex Milne I got at TFCon.


He was also really awesome and drew a picture on the inside cover of my IDW Collection I asked him to autograph. He basically forced it on me - he couldn't have me leave the inside blank like that.
