It seems that we won't be getting Transformers #37 and Transformers: Punishment this week. The email of upcoming comics has them listed for next week.

What gives?

On the bright side, next week we'll also find out what we're in store for in April.

 

There's hardly anything coming out this week from IDW, so probably just catching up in the new year.

 

Only two comics are listed. After next week we still have several comics yet to be released. I'm beginning to think we might not get all we were promised this month.

 

Next week's current listing according to Diamond is even more hilarious given that issue 5 of TF vs GI Joe isn't even out yet.

Edit: Yes, I know the lists are never really guaranteed until around Wednesday.

 

Yes, it seems like they're allowing a much bigger gap between issues than normal due to the new year.

So, wow, *three* weeks without new Transformers (and indeed, no new ones from my pull list at all). This is pretty bad!

 

The drought man.....ugh it's killing me.

 

And they won't release the comics on digital until they are released at retail.

 

I hope they at least put up longer previews.

 

A I can say is that come the 28th, it's going to be a great day.  

 

What is the "Punishment" one shot?

 

Someone is killing cybertronians, and it's an investigation to find out whom.

It was released as a digital comic (I think with motion) in installments already, this is just the print version.

 

I get all my comic news in this forum. I know new issues are out when a discussion thread pops up. How did I miss this? Is there a thread discussing it? I have a ton of questions.

 

It came out over the summer (July) I think there was a discussion about it then

 

It was a bit under the radar. It was announced at BotCon, and might already have even been out then. All five issues came out at once, on the MadeFire app. This is a print collection of all five in one. It follows Optimus after his recent departure from Earth over in RID (the idea being that it was set "in the near future" at the time of its release, and we'd understand how it fit in after a few months) as he heads back to Cybertron and winds up in the middle of a murder mystery with Starscream and Windblade.

 

So it tied into the first Windblade mini series?

 

I think it takes place after.

 

It's set after, but does not directly follow any plot points. It's pretty standalone.
