Damn, well spotted, that man! I completely missed that.

I have to agree with this. I can't imagine Roberts being the kind of person who gets annoyed just because people followed the clues he left out for them to find, although I'm colouring that thinking with my own thoughts on writing; I love it when someone's reading my stuff, gets to a particular point in the story - and I can usually guess precisely which point in the story - and says, "Called it."

Also, Roberts is English. Everything we say is meant to be sarcastic. :p

What did I miss? Did Roberts complain about fans?

I am though beholden though to point out that Roberts is not English, he's a Guernsey man, but that's semantics and the outcome's still the same ;)

I knew someone would (rightly) pull me up on that, so to you I say: possession of The Crown, it still counts, neener neener... :p

Weirdly, no new TF books came out the last two weeks, the gap between issues is longer than normal.

RiD comes out next week along with the Punishment one-shot. Week after that is MtMtE and Drift.

I wish they would time it so, that not two comics are released on the same date. So to stretch it out better and not leaving us so long without the next transformers kick. It's hard enough to wait for new episodes of supernatural and walking dead!

    Yes :)

I also hate it when different companies manage to space things so that my books all manage to miss the same weeks. It's something like 3 weeks since I picked up a comic even though I have 5 on my pull list.

Which, btw, is why Mystery Inc is the best Scooby Doo show- it went back to being mostly people in costumes with clues.

Good point. We're much more civilized over here. Even me.

    I resemble those remarks.

    ...

    My god. Brilliant.

I think you've got it. Oh well, I guess we solved another one. No surpises ahead for us, ho hum. I guess Roberts is losing his touch, the hack! :p

Ha! I skimmed it, but it looks like he doesn't mention the obvious component of old Scooby Doo truth-seeking... those rascally kids are always uncovering the deceptions of adults, in a challenge to, and mockery of, the forgone conclusions and sacralized superstitions of the previous generation... very much in tune with the 1960s youth culture.

I might have to give that new Scooby Doo show a look. :thumb

No, I got that, but what I was wondering is if the author bothered to contextualize that "kids looking for truth" theme specifically with the 1960s, because I think that's really especially relevant to the conversation. The show went on to be popular through later generations, but it really is a product of its time in that sense.
