Well, he knows he's not supposed to change it. He's likely just curious, not trying to convince, and it's always good to get on-the-spot info rather than old memories.

I thought this was a great issue. Like everyone else, I loved the meatron/orion pax conversaion. It was a very profund conversation and adds so much more depth to megatron as a character. Roberts is a great storyteller and understands and develops these characters that have existed for decades. I really appreciate how he takes characters into new and interesting directions.

Huh, here's a fun thought. We've thrown out that the Rung who was in the bar fight might be Lost Light Rung. But what if the Rung who interrupted Trepan's Shadowplay of Megatron was also present day Lost Light Rung?

This and that are happening almost simultaneously. So unless they return to this timeframe, which I gather Brainstorm has already left, I doubt it.

    Pure awesomeness.

I enjoyed Whirl getting excited about going into Brainstorm's armory, as well as Roddy's "best friend" line to Megs. And the time-call between Megatron and Orion was touching.

Also, can we discuss Tailgate showing his fanboy feels for Orion? :lol

I noticed! I was about to point it out, but then I realized you did.

"Hey best friend! Miss you!" is the funniest line that this comic has ever produced. =)

I am of the opinion that the weird "alternate functionist timeline" is what was being created by Rodimus, etc. going back in time to try and stop Brainstorm from doing what he's doing.

    OH MY GOODNESS.

Remember how "Wreck and Rule" was in Impactor's cell *before* he got there??! And no one knew how?

What if future Whirl did it when travelling through time?

I might be wrong, but did Trailbreaker *write down* the instructions to not leave his shuttle? It kinda looked like that. Which in turn would be something that probably wouldn't get wiped by the magic handshake.

It'd be funny if the future has still been changed and Rodimus gets a big surprise when he gets back.

The art damn. Was absolute gorgeous. The conversations whether it Rodimus at the end screaming out trailbreaker, orion and megatron, abandoning roller and Whirl.

Damn i missed you Whirl. Though by this point i'm pretty convinced the individual he was talking to was Brainstorm back when he attacked Megatron. Brainstorm might have promised him that he could re-write history so Whirl doesn't end up becoming an Empurata (spelling?) victim and also getting thrown in Jail by Pax.

Also did anyone notice Rung taking off his glasses? has that even happened before?

I'm not sure it's a continuity error when time travel and space-time continuum muckery is involved.

Not sure which issue it was (I think one of the first three S2 issues?), but we have seem Rung take off his glasses once, yes! :)

Oh, and as Gwolf said, Comixogy fixed the issues with an update! Yay! Someone's watching over us!

Thinking that Brainstorm is purposely leading the Lost Light crew through history to make the required "changes" to ensure their familiar future. His reasoning is either:

    A) He's brilliant/crazy enough to figure out that the universe is already "set", and is just leading the crew along to do its part, or

    B) Dystopian Cybertron isn't the alternate world, but rather the original (And so Rewind isn't having his memories changed, but rather remembering the way things're supposed) to be, and this is all a plan to change events to the Civil War we're familiar with.

Either way, things pan out the same.

And the Decepticon emblem underneath the face plate? Brainstorm might need to do something to *spark* the war - whether that be dying a Decepticon martyr or framing the Decepticons for an event big enough to get the other side fighting.

So Brainstorm becomes the mastermind behind the war? Not sure how I would feel about that.

I kind of like the Brainstorm figures out they are an alternate timeline and tries to make them the dominant one theory by guiding a band of idiots through time. I doubt it's right, but I like that someone thought of it.

Basically making the hard call between half the race dying in war or the whole species being wiped out via Functionist ideology.
