Wow, I didn't realise that too....I certainly wouldn't like to see him airbrushed from history, I certainly feel that the success of the toyline (and probably the cartoon series) was based on the comic, which didn't do too badly in it's 80 issues of four issue limited series.

I will stick to my guns and say I'd still like to see most of the changes I've previously mentioned (I'll concur on the origins of Skids, Grapple etc even if I still think that brains implanted on crystals is stupid).

However something along the lines of the animated movie comic adaption would be welcome. Im thinking along the lines of the absence of the Aerialbots, Omega Supreme from the battle for Autobot City etc being explained.

This may well end up being a fan project though. My drawing skills are worse than Swerve's aim in MTMTE but I'm happy to write some dialog if another artist or 3 gets on board with this!

 

Chris Latta died but nobody complains when someone else voices Starscream in later series.

 

Nobody is suggesting that they should be rewritten. It's the artwork that could use a modern slant.
