    Just read this.

I don't hate all of it.

Hear that awkward clashing noise? That screeching of tortured machinery straining under pressure? That's not puerile result of unchecked verboten slash-fiction... that's just the sound of the Aligned Continuity being forcibly inserted into IDW's pre-existing autonomous fiction. It's a whole other kind of violation. :(

And unlike the gradual unveiling of that earlier IDW mythos, inspiring intrigue and curiosity, this just felt sort of like an incomplete info-dump. However, it might level out. Hopefully they can reconcile the two concepts without making a total mess of things.

Also, I really, really, really, really, really, REALLY don't want a storyline where Prowl becomes the big villain. Not only have we already been down this road before, but Prowl is WAAAAAY better as an amoral factor within the Autobots who fulfills an important, valuable role... than as a burgeoning supervillain to be offered up for sacrifice for the next bloated crossover event.

    ...sigh...

Prowl's always been shown menacingly at the end of these issues. They're trying their hardest to make him out as the villain, aren't they? Even when he's being useful, he's either pointing a gun at someone's head when a light tap would've sufficed; eavesdropped on a private conversation between two old friends that was painstakingly arranged to be private, looking smug on his throne while doing it, surrounded on his goons; failing to communicate and air-dropping into a civilian area as a combiner with the full intention of using fear tactics.

Yeah, it's getting to be a bit much. I remember the IDW Prowl I fell in love with... the subtle one from back in LSotW and Everything in its Place. Whatever happened to that guy?

Well, combining with the constructicons has been shown to take its toll on Prowl. Too many nosebleeds must be giving him a headache.

I also theorize Chromedome and Rewind leaving and going on the Lost Light was the straw that broke the camels back.

so i've seen some people mention that they'd like Logos Prime to fill in the thirteenth slot for the tribe leaders. and while i don't mind Logos being the last guy, I got to thinking:

what if the last Prime is Logos, but keeping true to the Covenant, they have him turn out to be someone we already know? but instead of being Optimus... what if he's Soundwave? it's a total stretch, but Logos Prime's only appearance was a repurposing of Cybertron-era Soundblaster. plus IDW Soundwave's first chronological appearance was when Ravage and co. found him in the streets disoriented with no memories of who he really was or where he was or anything.

i dunno, it's just a thought based on too many "if we assume"s but i figured i'd mention it.

Hm, interesting idea. What if Thirteen is a different popular character in each continuity family?

I think it's a pretty clear red herring. His use of the Constructicons, etc, they are all more signs that he has been pushed to the edge and using more amoral plans. But it's pretty clear he has not descended into outright villainy like Galvatron or they would be showing him outright killing people now.

I hope it's a red herring, but I think we're going to see him fall further still...

What are you fools talking about? It's obvious Rung is the 13th Prime.

It actually makes scary sense though. I am pretty sure Rung is a Prime.

I can see Prowl leaving the Autobots pretty soon. I mean they had been drifting apart right now my feeling the Autobots are sick fighting and want to try peace for once. Few Cybertronians are holding out for war on both factions. Prowl just happens to be one of them for him the war didn't end on his terms.

Well, if Hasbro unveils a Combiner Wars Devastator soon, with Prowl as the core body, I guess we can pretty much confirm Prowl's path to damnation... :p

Hasbro, the thorn in comic book side of things. It is one of those things I want it to be over the Combiners Wars. Of the Combiners Alpha Trion is right about the Constructicons being successful. Devastator is actually interesting with Prowl at the Helm.

Menasor is walk psych patient that needs a ward.
Superion well from what I seen his components are more interesting than he is.
Defensor I never really saw him action comic book or cartoon.
Bruticus again the components are more interesting than combine form.
Computron I love the name and in fact I would name my cat/computer that

So I meh about the Combiner Wars

13th is close enough to 113, Robert's go-to number for everything, so I think this theory is confirmed.
