Thanks, much appreciated! With the recent/upcoming slew of MP releases (not to mention 3P combiners), I'll have to rearrange quite a few more shelves in my display sooner rather than later. Also have a huge PoL from BBTS coming my way so that should be fun organization-wise. I spent much of this past 3-day weekend cleaning up and reorganizing my spare bedroom (in preparation of having guests over for a week) that I've been using as toy storage as well. Man, 14 large Rubbermaid plastic tubs plus 4 giant BBTS cardboard boxes, and counting. I think I have a problem, or so my wife says.
MP Seekers in bot mode (MP-11 Starscream and custom painted MP Skywarp and MP Thundercracker using the Hasbro MP Thundercracker mold) and their Henkei Classics counterparts in alt mode. Sorry for the flash glare but it was hard to photograph these guys from behind glass.
Takara MP-10 Optimus Prime (with KFC articulated hands/rifle and Dr. Wu diecast metal Matrix) in bot mode and Hasbro MP-10 Optimus Prime in alt mode (standalone ion rifle is from MP-01). Walmart version of MP-03 Starscream also mugging for the camera and using Prime's trailer as his own personal stage.
In light of MP-11SW Skywarp's announcement: MP-11 Starscream and custom painted Masterpiece Skywarp and Masterpiece Thundercracker (both by BigMetalUnit): ^ Imagine Starscream as the entire fandom's reaction when we all saw MP-11SW's $200 price tag.
Bayverse display above my computer desk: DOTM/AOE Decepticon scout ship with Cyberverse Legion Crowbar as the pilot: The Wreckers dogpiling the Con scout ship ("Wreck-N-Rule!"): Current SDCC Metroplex display (still need to add his stickers):
Redid my computer desk shelf. Decided it's MP all the way, baby. My Bayverse stuff has been moved behind glass. FP Steel Core is keeping MP-20 Wheeljack's (x2) place warm for him (gonna pick him up from Japan directly along with MP-21 Bumblebee x2 and MP-23 Ultra Magnus).
I rearranged my Bayverse collection and moved them behind glass after freeing my Masterpiece figures from said confining shelves. Please excuse the poor picture quality as it was difficult to photograph these guys due to uneven lighting combined with flash, glass, and mirrored backing. Next round of photos will be my dedicated Autobots display. DOTM Optimus Prime. Megatron shrine/shelf. Sentinel Prime shrine/shelf with Cyberverse Ark. Starscream shrine/shelf. Barricade and DOTM Soundwave shrine/shelf. Brawl, Shockwave, Scorponok, and Blackout shrine/shelf.
My latest acquisition, a custom painted AOE Voyager Galvatron by Xaviercal. I just added his arm blades (borrowed from TFP/RID Arcee) and installed the blue LED in his chest myself.
Buster Optimus Prime with FWI-2 ROTF Jetfire upgrade, Deluxe Optimus Prime (alt mode), Revoltech Optimus Prime vs. Deluxe Bonecrusher, and keychain Jetfire Powered Optimus (Robot Replicas Bumblebee, RPMs old Camaro Bumblebee, and Legends Ravage in the back). Optimus Prime shelf/shrine. Ironhide shelf/shrine. Jetfire shelf/shrine (with Takara Advanced Deluxe Jolt). Jazz and Sideswipe shelf/shrine. Bumblebee and Ratchet shelf/shrine.
Thanks, man! The problem (aside from the expense, of course) is trying to find ways to display it all tastefully without becoming overwhelmed by a sea of multicolored plastic.
Your Ratchet reminded me, I've been looking for a DOTM deluxe and voyager. Can't find a deluxe and the voyager is topping £60 on ebay!
Yeah, they are fairly pricey on the aftermarket, probably due to Ratchet's role (traumatic death scene) in TF4: AOE. At least, that's why I finally bought his DOTM Deluxe and Voyager molds for my collection (along with his DOTM/AOE deco, his buzzsaw mechtech weapon is pretty cool too). I had thought about commissioning Savio to make a more accurate custom DOTM/AOE Voyager Ratchet for me but with so many upcoming releases of new TF stuff, I just can't swing it at the moment. Maybe next year.
My advice is to check around the Junkion Exchange, or do what I did and search around eBay for lower priced auctions (low starting bid) for Ratchet. They may pop up now and then, at least they did during the few months before AOE was released in theaters. Now that the movie's said and done who knows if figures will crop up again, especially during the holidays when folks sell stuff off for needed cash for Christmas presents. Good luck!
Readjusted my MP Con shelf slightly. It makes me realize even more that I'm missing a decent MP Megatron in my display. X-TB Apollyon, don't fail me now!
