Thanks, glad you like! Xaviercal did like 99.9% of that giant Starscream. All I really did was add the blue paint accents to his cheeks, and kitbashed some jet rockets/boosters to his back (not shown in photos) along with the two longer/bigger fins (which are wings taken from a junker DOTM Deluxe Air Raid) attached to his weapon arm (the ones that were there before were too small for my tastes). Oh, and I swapped out his buzzsaw with a slightly bigger one. He still transforms too though I prefer to keep him in bot mode to save on display space (being my favorite Bay bot design along with Barricade, he has a prominent place on my home computer desk; Starscream is just ginormous though). The original metal buzzsaw that came with him went to a Leader size (non-transforming) custom Starscream made by Frog DNA instead (I think it fits him better): Your kind words are much appreciated! As flawed a movie as it was, DOTM still is my favorite of the live action TF films as far as robot character designs go. Do you have a gallery of your collection to share on TFW? Would like to see it. The more, the merrier, I say.
My Decepticon Triplechangers are finally complete! Takara versions in bot mode; Hasbro versions in alt mode. Triple threat land, air and space power!
I used to buy these Gen 1 Transformers when I was small and always loved the concept of alien Transformers. I'm looking to start collecting the new ones that are designed from the movies. My question is what are the best brand or manufacturer of them that look the most realistic? ...and yet still somewhat still affordable? The ones for over $1,000 or $2,000 or $3,000 grand are incredibly over-priced and honestly I don't think is worth it no matter how detailed they are. I can't justify a statue for the price of a good, used motorcycle lol I gather that the ThreeA ones are maybe the best yet still a few hundred in cost? The Timesynch collection is vast but not sure which are ThreeA or comparable detail in another manufacturer?
Thanks! She's (the sword) being taken care of by a good friend back in the States (unfortunately, Japan has very strict regulations against importing blades over 2.5" in length into the country). I do miss her, among other things. I oughta break out my Nightbird and other fembots/femcons from storage now that you mention her.
