Nice Magnus. Nicely displayed. I have too much stuff to be able to spread them out like that. But i can remember those days.

 

Thanks man. Decent scale human figures can only enhance a TF display and there should be more available really. Smaller scale GI Joe figs would be amazing to have.

I got a Takara titan Metroplex today. I haven't transformed him yet and I may not for a while yet. I am in awe of his bot mode though. He has flaws but he's massive and he looks great. I'll update with some pics soon.

I'm waiting on a re-issue G1 purple Galvatron now. I rarely buy G1's unless they're awesome and a bargain but that purple Galvy had me tempted for a while. I'm not even sure where I'll place him.

 

Love the customs. Magnus and Galvatron couldn't look better. Good job Scorponok too. Nice to see a lot of thought put into each and every display scene. I can feel the drama behind the TF the movie. The Unicron looming in behind Rodimus and Galvatron is perfect.

Great collection. I've never seen that Ultra magnus before; it that a custom or a 3rd party piece? I'd like to know more about him.

 

Cheers. Magnus is a custom from a 3rd party figure so kind of both. I used an Igear ultra leader (mini mp-2 magnus) and converted some G1 armour to clip on.
The armour doesn't transform into the trailer any more but the core figure still does and I have a spare G1 trailer to attach if I want to see an alt mode.

I used ball joints on the shoulders and head, the face was from superion and the hands were from an mp-1 prime junker. I also used two pairs of G1 magnus arms to get a rotation both above and below the elbow. Still needs a bit of painting though.

I got him today and I'm really impressed with the changes over the original. I rotated the crown as I feel it looks better this way. I even like the way he looks with takara mp rodimus.

I would've loved to work these guys in the pic as well. Maybe they can face off 'up in space' in the background next time.

 

I'm still waiting on Scoria, just pre-ordered x-transbots wheelie to make myself feel better but that's just more waiting now.

I've boosted the size of my herc slightly. He's now 14 inches to the top of his head. I started work on a block section that
attaches in the body between Heavy Labor and Dr Crank. It's nowhere near finished but I already prefer the body proportions this way.

I also used the Rage of herc arm extenders for the legs. Do not try this unless you are willing to file down the connectors on the extenders. The new connectors are larger than the leg originals and will damage the ports. You won't be able to go back to the original configuration.

I dismantled and filed the connectors on the RoH extenders until the males were thinner the the female ports wider.
Only then did I dare push them into place.
