Ok, so after a move from NJ to NC, I have finally gotten my collection room in to some semblance of order. I still have shelves that I need to organize and several pieces in boxes that need to be opened, but this is about 95% of my collection up and out.
Nice collection. I like the shelves, it reminds me of my old set up. Be careful with that AT-AT so close to the window, though. It'll start to yellow pretty quickly depending on how much light gets in there. I bought some big UV repellant curtains and they've worked really well since I bought them 5 years ago. They also keep the room's temperature really cool.
Awesome!!!!! What part of North Carolina? There are a lot of TF collectors here. Are you coming to Charticon this weekend?
Actually the blinds are normally completely shut, I only opened them for the photos. Thanks for the tip!
I know, right!!! Such a pain, but every shelving system I looked at that included some sort of corner unit was just prohibitively expensive. As it is all the shelves in the room represent about an $800 investment.
I'm in Matthews, outside of Charlotte. I will be there on Saturday and possibly Sunday depending if I feel a need to return. I'm really only interested in the vendor booths.
Another Charlotte guy! One of us, one of us! Glad you're coming. The dealer room is going to be awesome!
what a great collection you got there going on there man. Plex looks funny, he can barely fit in there, wonder where in the blue hell i am going to put him in.
I normally keep him on the floor in bot mode. I actually just put him there for fun that day. The shelf he was on used to have all my MP figures until I got that last glass shelf assembled and moved them all over to there.
I'm moving in 6 months so it doesn't seem worthwhile. Might one right before I pack it all up in February.
Man that must’ve been insanely expensive to set up. My collection isn’t even 1/10th as big, well done!
I think I spent around $800 total on the shelves, they were from Ikea and are no longer sold unfortunately.
