Me too! I used to be a strict MISB guy but I eventually said to myself "what's so great about looking at boxes if you can't see the figures inside?" I initially looked at it as an investment. I still do to a certain extent since I collect G1 MIB figures, which should hold their value over time, but at least I can see the cool alt modes inside the window. I also display some of my MPs with them. Still, I admire those who keep their pieces pristine, and this is a great collection of MISB Masterpieces.

The question you have to ask is will you ever sell that particular figure. If the answer is no, opening them is not a big deal. I keep all of my boxes mint though. Although I haven't felt the urge to open Masterpiece Megatron. When I bought an IKEA Billy bookshelf that I display them in. Periodically ill Transform them and change the Display. I used to only display them in their boxes sealed. But, they just look so nice out of the box. And when you want to change up your display you can put them back in the box if you desire. All Takara Masterpiece boxes are designed so you can neatly rebox them for storage. Oh, and if your Masterpiece Rodimus isn't the Version2, that fixed the QC problems, then don't open him.

 

I as a mib collector and used to be a misb collector in some areas know what its like but even in my misb era of collecting I opend up the MP toys. they are just to Amazing to be keept in a box.
