Happy New Year From Cybertron! (Diorama Display)

    Happy 2013, TFW!

Some of you may have seen the awesome Christmas display my girlfriend constructed last month, and while she was away visiting family I thought I'd surprise her with a little robotic revelry upon her return. A trip to the party supply store and a few hours of posing and planning is all it took to make one hell of a dance party!

But it's when the room lights go down that the real party gets started:

DJ Soundwave (G1) rocking those beats like it's 2005. He's hard to see (thanks, cell camera), but Spike is working on the lighting inside the trailer drone:

Cosmos (iGear MW-04) also attends to the lighting while keeping watch from above. Lazerbeak (G1) just chilling.

Arcee (iGear Delicate Warrior) and Sideswipe (MP12) cutting a rug on the dance floor, while World's Smallest Breakdown tries to get Ravage (G1) in on the fun.

Father Time (MP10) and Baby New Year (WST Optimus).

    [IMG] [IMG]

The World's Smallest Dinobots like to party together. Who are those crazy humans in the background?

Huffer (iGear MW-02 G1) and Seaspray (iGear MW-01) share a toast while Grimlock (MP08) serves Brawn (iGear MW-03) with a smile.

That rascally Breakdown (Botcon G2) hangs from a Tiki statue, trying to steal another cocktail. Somebody cut that guy off!

And that's all she wrote! The disco ball spins, creating a cool lighting effect that my cell camera can't really capture. Making the tiny top hat and diaper for Baby New Year was probably the hardest part, not to mention getting those cocktails in the hands of MiniWarriors. I don't have the steadiest hands, so a lot of work with tweezers and much cursing was had. Overall though, I'm super happy with how the display came out.

Hope you enjoyed checking it out, and I'll probably be back in a few weeks with a new diorama display to share. Thanks, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    Thanks Superquad7, and my apologies.

To everyone, thanks for the kind words! I'll definitely have a new diorama up for Valentine's Day, already in the process of acquire new props and hopefully a few new figures.
