Yeh if only I had bought a stack of these when they were cheap & stashed them away when I was a kid but that was never going to happen. I've done that with a few of the new movie figures so we'll see how collectable they get... This hobby can get expensive but if you don't over pay for figures you'll get your money back & more depending on what it is. I wish I paid the 3 bucks clearance price for my Hound like someone did!!

Time for another update. I've upgraded 2 boxed figures to 85 & picked up a super rare red Cliffjumper at 85,plus an 80 Brawn all with rub signs. I'm pretty stoked with these new carded additions! A mint Sunstreaker is still eluding me tho...

I have a hard time believing anything produced in today's market will ever really hit the value that these toys do, the G1 transformers weren't produced to the same levels as say the new transformers prime figures are today. Not even close.

All the new transformers stuff, for the most part is WAYYYY mass produced. All the chuggies I think will be worth perhaps marginally more, if kept sealed away. People are a lot more conscientious about collecting and stash this stuff away hoping it will be something they can retire on. Good luck.

Interesting i had that same jazz variation w/ the missing martini sticker on the door. Nice job on the upgrades and don't worry about sunstreaker there are tons of them floating around in great sealed condition from the japanese case finds

Wow man, EPIC Collection! G1's are the only figures I can understand getting AFA Graded, because they look freaking BAD ASS in there original boxes sealed in acrylic!!

Good Luck on your hunt for Sunstreaker man!

Yeh I agree,I don't think G1's were meant to be collectors items when they were first released which is why they are so valuable now. I doubt the movie or any of the others will be as desirable. We'll just have to wait & see whether the kids of today want the one's I have when they're in their 20's & 30's like I'm doing with the 84-85 G1's now...

@ Cro I have seen a couple of 85 pre rubs but I'm not paying $1500 just on principle, maybe for a rub version as they are a lot rarer. The 80 rub that has been on ebay for ages for $850 the guy doesn't reply to any questions or offers so he'll own that for a long time too I think. He is about $150-200 off the mark with that price. One will show up for sure,I've got the G1 whisperer onto it for me as well, you know who I mean

Those look undergraded without question. Im pretty positive they would be 85s without the price sticker because the donwgrade for altered price stickers.
All the edges and corners look fresh.

I agree. I'm not seeing any yellow on those bubbles at all. They look great! Huffer and Gears were the first two TFs I ever owned and it is great to see them both packaged.

Definitely no yellowing on those bubbles that's for sure. At least they don't look out of place with all the other 85's hey JShaft!?

Thanks for all the positive comments guys! There are a few more gems on their way to AFA so there will be a big update in a month or 2!

you want to make some money ? Ill give you the full 9.99 for the boxed hound , thats like 6.99 profit !!! for real though , nice collection , I havent even hit the level where i can collect MIB G1 figures and i admire the job youve done collecting them. Also did you find those in second hand or toy collector stores or are all those online purchases ?

Yeh thats like a 200% profit right!? Having all the money in the world doesn't even get some of these figures, you've just got to email lots of people & dig around ebay & the net. Mostly its dead ends but TFW has been a great help. AFA collectors on here have been really helpful with any questions I've had.
