I received 3 figures in the post from AFA today & I'm pretty happy with the triple changers with 80 & 85 gradings with all sub grades of 90. Ironhide got a rough grade of 80,I thought he'd get an 85 for sure but he looks awesome anyway! :)

Then you haven't seen Jonnyshaft's or Da Last to walk's collections yet!? They put me to shame!

For me here in Aus the freight is dearer than the grading cost. I've just sent a Ratchet & Hound off for grading, they cost about $75 each plus freight which is $120 there & back. I send 2 or 3 at once to save a bit that way. Some graded figures are way too dear for me so I just hunt around for really mint boxed figures & have them graded which is half or a third of ebay prices. I've had 6 graded the rest of bought already graded.

Thanks guys! I've taken your advice Jonnyshaft & although I really struggle to find AFA figures for a sensible price I seem to come across great misb figures then have them graded. What ever works I guess :)  Don't forget to keep your eye out for a 85 pre rub Sunstreaker!

Time for an update! Picked up a cracker of a US Megs, looks like an 85 but the flap crease caused the 80 grade. Also a really nice rub Prowl, Hound & Ratchet all AFA 80's. Just Sunstreaker to go! :D
I've also updated the group shot with the new additions.

A couple of late Chrisy presents turned up today. An AFA 80 Skywarp sealed with no flap crease I've been chasing...finally!! & a 85 Laserbeak/Frenzy. I'm really happy with this one, looks mint for a carded figure. I wasn't going to do carded figures but the Decepticon tapes I will at 85. Hopefully a 85 Ravage/rumble will pop up one day

Just Awesome, When I think back to the 80's it makes me wish that I bought two of every G1 figure back then so I could have one to play with and one for display. Hindsite is always 20/20
