Incredible collection you got going!! Are those the 15 inch wide tiers? I plan on getting a couple detolfs and want a few of those organizers to go with it. Just want to be sure I buy the right stuff. Thanks!

I've got a few sheets of Wreckers symbols from Reprolables, I'm just not sure how I want to use them yet.

Yup. The Detolf is just a bit wider than 15". I've got one or two 10" shelves in there now, which work well if you want a taller figure standing next to the shelf, or a figure that's too wide to stand on any of the steps.

Thanks! I really need to get new pictures up. I've improved that section a lot with some risers under Fort Max's feet, to give the other headmasters more room.

Wow man, Love what you did with your collection in your basement, looks super clean, this is Toy Sophistication right here haha!! (don't ask me what that means, just sounds right) HA!! BEAUTIFUL SET UP [THAT'S AN ENTERTAINMENT ROOM RIGHT THERE] Are all those original G1's or reissues? THEY LOOK PRISTINE!!!! Are you a fan of the G1 Homage Classics? (Generations/Universe 2.0 Classics etc)?? [I'm a classics junky like you are with the G1z)

Fansproject City Commander would look REALLY Awesome on your top shelf with MP-9 & MP-10!!

Can you give us an UPDATE of what you done with the displays bro!?

Thanks man! I've worked hard on it, so the words of praise are much appreciated.

Some are my originals from when I was a kid, some are originals that I purchased later, and some are reissues (of those only a couple are "unofficial", which I plan to replace as my budget allows). Nearly all have been refurbished on some level, by me. Obviously there's a little 3rd party stuff in there too, mostly for figures I always wished they'd made when I was a kid. Really loving the stuff Impossible Toys is putting out lately.

While I have a few Universe and Generations figures, I don't really display them. I buy some newer toys for characters I like or figures that seem like they'd be fun to transform. Right now I'm buying the Prime stuff as it comes out, trying to put together the most screen-accurate cast I can with the help of some 3rd party products (DR. Wu, Reprolables) and Radicons customizers (Cheetimus). Still no idea if or how I'm going to display that stuff.

Updated pictures are coming, but honestly not for several weeks at least. I've got some work to do to keep sunlight from getting in on the sides of the cases, since a little bit does manage to leak in through the glass block windows. Right now I've got cardboard serving that purpose, but I'm still researching a more permanent solution.

I have to give credit and props where it's due my man! And I can see the hard work in your Collection that's fasho!

Oh nice, dang that's the way to do it!! Just fix them up urself instead of paying BIG MONEY on finding that pristine one on the evilbay lol GOOD STUFF!! Yeah I love the quints you have up there! is that arcee from Impossible also?

Im still trying to pull my classics display together, but its hard displaying little deluxes in these detolfs huh?? (i have the spice racks that you have, but they don't work that well for the deluxes, needs a stair raise of 2inches to be PERFECT) My top shelves are the masterpiece/3rd party kinda stuff and they display well, because they're larger!

Yeah I was on the same boat wanting to create just a solid cast, but damn the quality figures they're putting out at the moment, had put that on HALT! [knock out & airachnid have killed it for me] Im a big decepticon fan, and would liiiiike to have them do em right lol! I have all the First Editions except for voyager Prime grrrrz!! I really like PRID soundwave & vehicons though! The rest arre pretty meehhh (oh and wheeljack is awesome)

All good man! Oh yeah, I seen something white behind your detolfs, how about a Mirror Tint on the back of em? that would look pretty cool!

    Here's an example
    [IMG]

would keep that sun from the back leaking through and would give the display a really nice look, give it some more depth!

AngryChad - absolutely stunning collection! :rock

Yep, those bed bath & beyond copco spice racks are a great fit for the ikea detolfs. I always say it's worth spending a few extra bucks and do your display right.

Thanks for mentioning me as part your inspiration. It actually caught me off guard because I looked at your photos before I read your post and I was like, "Hey, this guy's display has some similarities to mine... except it's way better!" Great job - really really impressed!!! We're both similar that we both loved transformers as kids but "outgrew" them only to come back to it later as adults - me in 2009 and you in 2010. Even during those years when I wasn't collecting, transformers and the nostaglia associated with it was always in my heart!

Nicely displayed collection. :)  What are those steppers called that you used? It looks like the have grips on them. I'd love to source a few out for my collection - I'm having to make due with white mailer boxes for my TF and NECA figures right now. :(

Edit: I read above: They're "bed bath & beyond copco spice racks". I wish I had a BB&B nearby to check those out. I'll keep an eye out next time I'm at 'Homesense' here in Ontario. Seems like the kind of thing they'd carry. :)

Thanks! Clean was a primary goal. Had to pass The Wife Test.

    Thank you!

I believe you can get them online too, though I'm not sure if they ship to Canada.

It was a delicate dance getting everything just the way I wanted it, that's for sure :)

Thanks! Some sacrifices definitely needed to be made in order to avoid clutter.

    Thank you!
