    Howdy, guys! If you're jumping into this thread, it means that you're at least looking for some helpful tools while developing your galleries for your Transformers collection. If I come across any other useful things, I'll share them below.

    So far in this thread, you'll find these useful resources:

    • Photography Tutorials. These are the same ones that many Customizers have used over the years to photograph their custom Transformers, however the same basic rules apply to simply shooting unaltered toys;
    • FastStone Photo Resizer. If you have a huge batch of photos that you want to reduce the filesizes to without reducing image quality, etc., then this is your tool! I've used this tool over the years, as well as many others on the TFW2005.COM Photo Staff. It's a freeware program, and it's easy to use!

    That's it for now! Have fun!

    Hey guys, I thought I would help you all out with redirecting you to the Tutorials section in Radicons. What I've posted here are the Tutorials that we host regarding Photography. With you guys posting photos of your collection here, I think these here will help you out a lot!

    Also, if you would like to share any other photography tips and/or tutorials, feel free to post them here. If they can be added to Tutorials, I'll be sure to resource them. I hope this helps you guys! :)

    FastStone Image Viewer, Screen Capture, Photo Resizer ...

    This is a wonderful, freeware program that allows an artist to do MANY things with photos. You can resize, rename, and many more things in batches. If you have 200 photos that all are of the same group, renaming and resizing is a cinch!

    It's really easy to use, but complex enough to play around with too. It's light on resources, and free to download and use for home (not business). I may sound like a commercial with this program, but I only recommend it because nearly everyone who deals with photos on this site uses it. I was referred to it, and love it as well. Enjoy if you want it!

    Also, feel free to discuss this tool and similar ones here :)

    Often times, a person may have a bulk of photos, but they're oversized*. This program allows you to bulk resize files as well as rename them and some other options.

    *Hint: 450-500 Kbs is a good file size to work with for sharing images on the web. Anything above that is really useless. This will help with the "security token missing* if you're attaching images.

    Yes . . . and no.

    You can take a batch of photos and resize them by either pixels, size percentage, or resize based on one side. Honestly, I've never really tried playing around enough to where all photos come out exactly the same size. What I typically use it for is if I have a batch of photos that simply need their size reduced for web sharing (typically around 450-500 Kb). I use the percentage option for this, as I'm simply wanting a batch of photos at a smaller percentage than they are when I import them into FastStone initially.
