Assuming you don't have one, a glass-fronted cabinet door is about the only thing that will reduce the amount of dust settling on shelves. If you already have cabinet doors and are looking to improve them, there are some who've successfully used adhesive foam weatherproofing strips to discretely seal the edges of cabinet doors to further prevent the infiltration of dust.

Aside from that, wishful thinking and magic are the only things I can think of.

Hey, is there any company that sells those clear plastic cases that protects G1 carded figures? I'd love to hang my G1's on display without risk of damage or getting dirty.

Check out collectingwarehouse.com. They have starcases that would most likely work... I am just not sure of the size. I use them for all of my bags, cases and acrylic stands for my display!

I have about 6 of these! I use them in my detolf cases, but be warned, they have a VERY LOW rise, and the figures behind are barely lifted into sight, but they do fit PERFECTLY in to the width of a Detolf shelf.
Painted Black

Here's a pic of a empty one in my detolf (hella head space)

It will work out if you have different size classes displayed on them, Voyager, Deluxe, Scout:

But since I was displaying mostly deluxe sized figs, I knew I had some work to do. Here's a pic with 2 figs of the same size class, the one behind is barely visible.

I purchased some Black Paint (Krylon Fusion), Some Styrofoam all from walmart.

Cut 2 pieces the same width and depth of the stair, and painted them black to blend in, (also cut a piece to prop up Grimlock unpainted to show difference). The white Styrofoam was from a TFSOURCE shipment.

Styrofoam is so versatile, and sooooo customizable for displays, I have it all through out my displays LOL!! Windcharger, was pushing Ironhide out of the display, and the glass doors wouldn't close.
So I cut a piece out to slide him into, and walllah all is gro0ovy now! (just need to paint white Styrofoam BLACK)

The total cost is about $12.50ea if you do 2 of these styled risers. Compared to getting customized acrylic risers for $30+, it's quite the deal ;]

Hope this can help anyone trying to use these in there displays Feel free to holla at me if you have any questions.

Oh cool, hope this can help some folks collections look a little more visually pleasing!

Now another MUST HAVE (IMO) are these Display Stands. I had the "Bandai Tamashii Stage Act.4" that was recommended to me by [Alucard77] these are great for smaller figs like Deluxe, ((maybe)) a voyager if you place it just right.

Stage Act.4 Holding up my TFP Skywarp in a DIVE POSE.

and also Holding up my Henkei Voyager Black Skyfire (I used one base, but 2 arms to hold this piece up)

But what I recommend for TRANSFORMERS are Bandai Tamashii Stage Act.5 These are much more stronger, for holding up TFs, with a ratchet joint at the bottom of the arm, you won't have to worry about the arm collapsing on it self, also you can add extenders to the arm, making it much longer! I needed both of those Features when I set out to display a MASTERPIECE figure in dynamic action pose.

Here I have (1) Stage Act 5 with an arm extension holding up MP-9B

And if that isn't enough awesome sauce, we all know Fansproject Springer has a difficult time posing due to his lack of Heals, but with this stand, he can FLY INTO ACTION in dynamic poses you just can't pull off on the ground!!!

There was no way I was going to be able to even FIT springer into my top shelf bots, with out the use of this stand, here i have him twisting through the crowd just to get his ONE SHOT ONE KILL signature on!!! ;]

Here's links if you want to purchase some $15.99 Shipped EA (they sell out pretty quickly and take FOREVER to get back in stock) Waited about 5months for these to come back in stock, same deal with BBTS.
