Hehe, look again. There are actually 5 MP Primes: MP-01, MP-01B, MP-04, MP-04S, and 20th Anniversary DVD Prime. Six total if you count MP-10.

Thanks for the compliments. I really really need another display case though.

I have a few more figures that I have added to my collection, but none of them have excited me as much as the upgrades that I just had done to my Buster Prime (with him being my favorite figure and all).

Fellow board member bombatron does some chroming work on the side and I asked if he would apply his talents to certain pieces of my Buster. I used parts from my Black Jetwing Prime and Battle Hooks Prime so that I wouldn't have to sacrifice the premium paint job on those parts on my Buster Prime. It was 19 pieces in total:

    Buster Rifle/gas tanks and smokestacks
    Shoulder tanks/air canisters
    Battery cover/rear bulkhead
    Rear bumper

I'm quite happy with the way everything turned out and if I want to revert back to stock, I still have all of those pieces available. Tons of credit to bombatron for the great work and good prices.

    Here are the results:

    Alt mode:

    Both modes side-by-side:

I'm considering getting another Buster Rifle chromed so my Two-Pack Buster Prime can have the amazing looking gas tanks in alt mode. The one displayed directly above just has the standard Buster paint job.

My Buster Prime has been modified in the following ways as of today:

    1) Blue LEDs in the head to replace the less accurate green LEDs
    2) Blue plastic eyes substituted with clear plastic eyes from Striker Prime
    3) Closed facemask from Two-Pack Buster Prime rather than the open one
    4) Chromed air canisters/shoulder tanks
    5) Silver paint on the headlights on Prime's chest
    6) Transformable hip pieces for the wheels from Savio-Prime and Omegaprime
    7) Chromed Buster Rifle/gas tanks and smokestacks

I'd love to chrome a few more pieces, but I would have to dismantle Prime completely and I don't have the knowledge or skill to do so. I think this is about the extent of the mods I can do to Prime to make him more screen accurate. However, I am very happy with what I have now.

Update coming soon. I just picked up MP-11 SS today and reorganized my MP/BT/Alt display, which I like much better now.

I also recently acquired DOTM Wheeljack/Que, Dlx Leadfoot, Dlx Soundwave and HA Soundwave.

I have a new TFPrime shelf with most of the First Editions and the PRid figures.

Anyway, new pics coming soon. I will probably post both here at the end of the thread and in the first post.

I got these KO Battle Hooks today and for $18, they are a hell of a great add-on.

Compared to the offical Takara Add-On Energon Swords:

There is some pretty decent detail on these things:

The colors match Striker Prime really well and I personally greatly prefer them to the offical add-on swords:

Although, one of each looks pretty cool:

Now I have too many accessories to chose from for my Striker Prime: individual blasters, combined rifle, shield, swords, battle hooks. So much stuff...

I have a question about your framed comics. How do they stay in their frame? Normally I would use a passe-partout but with the comics a lot of text would be half covered by it or too close to the borders. I can't see a passe partout in your frames and it seems like you have pushed them to the glass. Could you explain how you did this? I want to hang some on the wall this week.

    thanks!

I'm with iDD, I've been trying to figure out how to framed your comics for some time now. I just can't figure out how you did it!

There is nothing special holding the comics in place. I don't want to damage them with double-sided tape or anything, so I just have them held in place with pressure. They are sandwiched between two pieces of glass and so far, they have held up great. FYI, I had my girlfriend pick up a bunch of these frames for me from the department store where she works part-time, Gordman's. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to find the same thing or something similar where you live. I know Wal-Mart has something similar. Are there Wal-Marts in Amsterdam?

A board member, bombatron, does chrome work on the side. I asked him if he would be willing to do the work for me and he was willing to do it for a reasonable price. The chrome isn't as perfect as something you would get from Hasbro or Takara, but it does look great. No worries btw, I didn't destroy the Buster paint job on these guys, I used the non-painted guns from my regular and nemesis Jetwing Primes.

ebay. I did a review of them last night on the 3rd Party Forum. I got them for $18 shipped from gigaproshop. Ordered on April 11th, delivered on April 23rd.
