Great collection and display space, but I'd remove that "pipe" pic.

I understand the controversy over the "Pipe" but do bear in mind it is unused and is a legal product in that condition. I display it mostly as a wild and weird piece of merch.

No collection is lame. There are some of us who have the means or the obsession to go as overboard as I have and there are others who have the self control to not go nuts.

As to how long it took, I'll give you the quick run-down:

In 2000 I had forgot all about Transformers. They had been a very important part of my childhood, but other than a random reference had not entered my thoughts since 1988.

So i bought a DVD player in 2000 and found TF:TM on DVD. I bought it, watched it once and thought it was utter crap. Transformers died a second death for me at that time. The Beast Wars stuff had popped up too, and I had noticed it but only in as much as to say "Meh... that ain't Transformers..." and the whole thing was dead to me.

Then in a random toy aisle trip in late 2001 I saw the R.i.D. Car Brothers. "Here we go" I thought, "Real cars that transform" I bought the three original decos and the corrosponding repaints, kept them in package and promptly forgot about transformers again.

Fast forward to late 2003, I found Toys R Us was re-issuing G1 toys and I snatched up a quick Skywarp. Then I saw Alternators Smokescreen and it was on...

So to get to your question, I have been collecting seriously since 2003.
