amazing..just amazing. The minty side of me would like this but the cheap side of me holds me down to MIBs ones. I have however though of casing the whole collection but it would be to much but seeing it like this makes me wanting it even more.

BEst of luck with the collection.

Hey, where do you display your figures? Is that a closet? Come on man, this isn't Jesus paraphernalia!
    Its Transformers!

    Chrisr,
Yes it is a walk-in closet. I currently don't have muh room in my house, so I have to make due with what can. I wanted a "Collectable Room" for collectables only. Not a room with a bed, a microwave, and the kitchen sink. Just collectables. So that is where I'm starting, The closet :)  Trust me, when I buy my next house, a Collectable Room will be in the blueprints.

Thanks for the Kudos everyone. I just sold my AFA 80 Huffer w/Mini spy to Jamie via Ebay. Thanks Jamie. I have an AFA 90 Huffer w/Mini on the way to replace the first. I will post pics once it is here. I also just received an AFA 80 Silverbolt (the box was damaged in shipping, plastic rail came loose inside AFA case and put a few cuts in the box :(  and also an AFA 85 Air Raid w/ Decoy. I have a few more on the way back from AFA as we speak too, so I will post pics of all of them this weekend.

nice collection. i have a question. are AFA graded figures that are uncirculated with a U in front of the grade (i.e. U90 ) worth more than regular graded ones?

Awesome collection Usmcloady, thanks for posting pics of the AFA goodness!

I myself have mixed feelings about AFA... If you collect pre-1990 toys then getting them AFA graded would be the way to go but it really irks me when someone grades a $6 or $7 figure that I can buy all day long at Wal-Mart or Target in the same condition, like the 25th Anniversary Joes or the Star Wars figures. Aside from high dollar variant figures or convention exclusives, I never understood why people get modern era figures graded. But if I were to collect MISB vintage figures, no doubt I'd want them graded. In fact, I've started collecting the loose U85 vintage Star Wars figures.

Yes, Uncirculated grades bring a premium on the secondary market.

No, thank you mate :)  Lookign forward to receiving it. Whilst I consider myself a discerning collector, afa 80 is good enough for me in most cases :)  Whilst I would LOVE some 85 / 90 graded figures I feel that they are not worth the premium over 80's - as most want twice the price!! I have a few ungraded transformers I am going to ship to afa soon (little bit more expensive for me as I am from the UK) and I do have a few items I hope will grade an 85 :)  so fingers crossed :)

Maybe they think that if they grade em now, in 20-30 years they'll be worth something. I'm sure if this was 1985 and someone bought a TF and tried to get it graded (not sure if they did that back then) people would've said the same thing about G1 back then.

Thing is, back in 1985 they were considered toys and only toys, adults really didn't collect like they do today. Now collectible toys have become big business, so more modern toys are kept MOC/MISB and there's several companies that make protective cases for said toys, star cases come to mind for GI Joe and Star Wars figures. So finding factory sealed mint modern era toys is a lot more common with the current collectors market, the streamlined mass production and distribution of modern toys.

I highly doubt 20-30 years from now you'll see any modern era toys (aside from rare variants and exclusives) reach the price that vintage toys now command. A good example would be the Star Wars POTF2 figures that are as cheap as dirt, the average figure from that toy line usually selling for a couple bucks MOC even after almost 15 years.

Here are my recent AFA Transformer additions. Most of these just came back from AFA, and some have low grades. I still add them to my collection because my goal is to have an AFA grade for each G1 TF. I will then upgrade when I can, because this goal is going to be extremely hard to accomplish anyway, as it will take me years to complete.

Love the collection, I was trying to collect sealed g1 a long time ago, but it got too expensive. I shudder to think how much you invested in these. Still freaking awesome!
