SmokescreenGT's Collection

Hello all! Well, I got a digital camera for xmas so I can now finally show off my collection. I actually have two separate collections - my original G1 collection that I had as a kid, and my brand new collection that I just started back in February. I will post pics of my new collection first then later I will update with G1. So, I hope you all like them. My collection isn't nearly as grand as many of the ones I've seen here, but I'm happy with what I've got. So, here goes.

My UPDATED Smokescreen display as of 2/6/2010:

And here's my NEW Grimlock display!

*********
And the rest of the collection as of 2/6/2010!

Well, that about does it for my new collection. I will post pics of my G1 collection shortly. If you look close, you can see a tease of my G1s in one of the pics above. See if you can spot it!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Wow, that's a huge, kick-ass collection you've got there!

The best one was the Rocky Miniature statue that you had in the back though

Yes, I love my Rocky statue even though it doesn't transform!

Thanks, NP. I just saw your collection, too. Very good start.

I'll have my G1 collection pics up by tonight or tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Well, I don't usually keep the bubble boxes for the very reason that they are almost impossible to keep looking good once opened. But I made an exception with Alt. Rodimus because he was an exclusive. So, all I did was open the bottom and undid all the twist ties and what not. Then I very carefully pulled the plastic bubble away from the cardboard on three sides, leaving the fourth side still attached. Then, after I took Rodimus out, I just put the bubble back down and taped the three sides with scotch tape. And, of course, I closed up the bottom, but that was the easy part. Honestly, I got lucky with Rodimus' packaging. It almost looks like it was never opened. Usually, they are pretty much destroyed when I open them.

Yeah thats the problem i always have. I find it easier to cut them out carefully than rip the cardboard to shreds. Its like operating on a person when i open mine.

My G1 Collection

Okay, so it's time to show off my G1 collection. Now, back in the '80s I had them all, and I played with them hard. Around 1990, I stopped collecting and my parents packed them all away. Seventeen years later, after I started my new collection pictured above, I ventured into my parents' attic and rescued most of my G1 toys. Five boxes worth! Anyway, I brought them over to my house and painstakenly went through them. I was surprised that many of them were in very good shape. Others, however, looked horrible and some were even broken. I did my best to sort through the weapons and match them to the figures, but many I simply couldn't find.

So, here are the ones that were in the best shape and that I had room to put out on display. Hope you guys like 'em.

I updated the below pic of the bottom shelf. Predaking now has his gun mounted on his right arm. He also has his sword in his left hand. It's hard to see but it's there.

And here's something non-TF related. My small Alien and Predator collection.
