The Barracuda's Beast Wars Collection

First half of the basics.

Second half of the basics, along with the Roman Numeral Versions of Optimus Minor, Scarem and Sonar.

Deluxes. I have to find only Tarantulas in my quest to get the American versions, then I can update the picture.

Deluxes. It took about a year before I noticed a MOSC Jetstorm on Ebay (it was becoming a bit of a Holy Grail for me). As soon as I saw it, I bought it no questions asked.

Deluxes.

Deluxes. Despite all the research I did, I had no idea there was a Fox Kids repainted Airazor up until a few months before I found it.

Deluxes, Mutants and the repaints with videos. Tracking down the European repaints of Claw Jaw and Spittor was a nightmare. One seller screwed me (but I got my money back at least), and another posted the toy by accident after selling it. It took me a third try to get a hold of them.

Megas. Updated with the "Pink" color variant of TM Megatron.

Ultras.

More Ultras.

Botcon repaints of Buzzclaw, plus the Robotmasters repaint of Armordillo. Picked up the Onyx Primal from forum member Kenucme (for a great price!).

Beast Machines. All the Beast Wars repaints/retools.

Then of course, I decided to get into the Japanese side of Beast Wars, mostly for the repaints/retools. Had no idea Lio Convoy was so big.

Beast Wars Neo. Probably my favorite Japanese line; great molds and repaints.

More Neo, the Destorons.

Couldn't resist the Optimus/Megatron pack.

Here the rest of my stuff. Binaltechs. Passed on getting Wheeljack and Laserwave and now they're insanely expensive wherever you go.

Binaltech Asterisks and my few Alternators.

Masterpiece. Passed on both Ultra Magnus and Skywarp as I couldn't justify the money on repaints. Though I love the mold, kinda pissed that Starscream was re-released in his G1 colors.

Takara re-issues.

E-hobby.

Hasbro re-issues. I remember when I received Hot Rod, my first of this particular line and was stunned when I held it in my palm and noticed how small it was (or how big I am compared to twenty years ago). Updated with the latest addition, Astrotrain.

Universe and R.I.D.

And some miscellaneous.

Basically the only Transformers related things I have displayed. Everything else is in Rubbermaid containers, banker's boxes and small comic boxes. The Matrix statue is cool, but wasn't worth what I paid for it; paint application is a little shabby.

Update - January 22nd, 2008
Recent Arrivals. Got Windrazor and Sandstorm for an awesome deal. And I never owned the Ratchet/Ironhide molds before. Still have more in the mail.

And while I'm at it, I recently re-organized my Gargoyles toys into different boxes so I might as well show them here as well. A few aren't in the best shape so I'll probably end up replacing a few (when I find them for cheap).

Update - January 25th, 2008. Got some more in the mail today from BBTS (though was dinged by customs). The Pepsi Pime is great, but I love the Hot Rods. In great shape too.

Update - February 6th, 2008. Got my hands on American versions of TM Cheetor and Dinobot (on sale at BBTS). Also the Roman Numeral variant of TM2 Cheetor. Have also began collecting the repaints in other toylines, starting with Beast Machines.

Update - February 13th, 2008.

Update - February 26th, 2008. Finally got Road Rage. Almost thought I might never get him considering the seller decided to ship it a MONTH after I purchased it, without so much as a note telling me why. But at least it was for a good price, and half of what a lot of them are selling for now. And the Armada Dinobots, Airazor, Cheetor, Rhinox and the Universe Frostbite are courtesy of TFW member volpi1. He has a big sales thread with a lot of good stuff.

Update - March 8th, 2008. Got Sideswipe and Inferno at great prices, though I had to wait a while for them to come across the ocean. The Ramulus Roman Numeral Variant, Hellscream, Triceradon, Hydra, and Rartorarta I got from members of these boards (thanks, guys!). And the Black Lio Convoy I got on ebay for what I considered a pretty good price; I was surprised no one bid against me. Of course, now I'm facing the increasing problem of running out of room for all these toys...

Update - April 10th, 2008. Finally got the regular Lio Convoy thanks to Hook and Killerpunch thanks to Rfnd1253. And picked up the e-hobby Ratchet for a screaming deal. BWII Thrustor got a little crushed in the mail (surprising, since the seller I deal with usually packs things well) but at least he made up for it with a mint Drancron. Now I just have to find Elephaorpha (or Elephaorca or however the hell it's spelled...)

Update - October 24th, 2008. Been a while, but I'm waiting to take more picture when I complete more toylines. I'm close to finishing a lot (as in, close by one or two more toys...), and I want to put everything into organized pictures. But here is my finished collection of the Rock Bubble releases. I decided to be as patient as possible and was rewarded with some great deals.

Update - November 17th 2008. I might as well put up the rest of the toys I've received over the summer.

Update - November 19th, 2008. Picked up the White Moon Lucky Draw figure.

Update - December 18th, 2008. Just got the BWII Takotank/Ikard set in the mail. Won it on ebay for a great price, but why didn't anyone tell me it was so damned huge?! And finally picked up the E-Hobby Starscreams as well. I'm still waiting on the Ghost Starscream to arrive in the mail.

Very nice MOSC/MISB set. Do you plan on getting the color varients of the Transmetal Megatron or Optimus Primal? Or the Japanse versions of Rattrap and Terrorsaur, they are more show accurate

I think eventually yes. I started with the basics and am expanding out from there. Eventually I hope to get most if not all of the Japanese Beast Wars and any other variants out there; cost is just prohibitive.

Nicest collection I've seen in a long time! You're pretty close to finishing BW Neo, you going to do it?

Also, if you don't mind me asking, why'd you choose to go MISB with everything? Must have cost, oh, double or more on most items. I could do it for a few items here and there (and eventually open them, like my VS-35 set) but never an entire collection.

April 5, 2008 ... the best day of my life!
